His picking technicque allows him to do things that other players simply can't without doing legato. I admit it all starts to soind like a blur after awhile...Id still rather listen to Strawberry Fields. But this dude is impressive..
Thank God above that Matteo knows by instinct which kind of music to play, and doesn't resort to pentatonic piddling that has no rock element and no guts. He's got the mix pretty well perfect where he's musically off the leash but he's got that rhythm and solid beat pushing him along.
Matteo absolutely kills in-person. I saw his trio's performance three days before this in Sacramento - he takes you through the stratosphere.
I never tire of listening to this guy!
