  • A thousand splendid suns is a book based on lives of people based in Afghanistan. It portrays the lives of Afgan people focusing on lives of two women and there bond. The quote I loved is Education is important as marriages can wait but education can never. On one hand it brings out the evils of child marriage, polygamy, war, patriarchy and various other prevalent topics and on the other hand it touches the beauty of the love of a mother, a beautiful bond between two people and how there is the power of love even in the worst of situations.
A wonderful book to read which encompasses a wide range of emotions, which moves you from the heart and which will make you feel the emotions of it's characters.
