I keep mine in a south window and it has not stopped flowering I've had it for 8 months my son brung it back from Florida for me and I live in Ohio its a beautiful plant

Loved d video on heliconia.i have rostrata n water heliconia, waiting for it to give out flowers.I had psittacorum too but unfortunately it died.

How far above the ground should I cut the heliconia post-flowering? It's a bit nerve wracking to destroy a healthy plant that's done flowering.
