Wow that price is brutal. ON looks cool but i can get the Boston 12 on sale for around $100 and the Speed 4 for $160ish. $220 for a shoe to do the same thing is WILD!
They try to place the hyper close to the Asics superblast and the Balos from NB later this year. Thats why the price. Whether all these shoes are worth the money is something everyone has to decide for themselves. Same like you... I would go with the Boston 12. But not everyone likes the fit and feel of Adidas.

I've been wearing this shoe for a little over a month now. It's become my go to long run shoe for Easy to moderate pace. I also tried wearing this on a track for a workout and it felt like I was wearing crocs, lmao, so don't do that. I did some strides in them on the road one day and they felt surprisingly responsive. I predominately only wear plated shoes because I like a stiffer shoe. For 3 weeks I thought this had a plate it in, but it doesn't, and I didn't have any feet problems. It's one of my favorite shoes at the moment, and comes in nice colors. It handles bad weather like rain and mud very well. One negative thing is sometimes it has a weird squeak while running, it comes and goes. I got it for free, but I would pay $180-220 if I were to get another pair when it comes out next month.
The squeak is from the cloud pockets, it's a common issue with On. If you use a small brush and wax the insides or use another lubricant, it'll go away.
I'm sorry but $220 (£210) for that shoe is ridiculous, especially when you can get the Superblast for less which I am sure will be a much better shoe! By the way, got one of the BITR Sweatshirts in red winging its way tot he UK as we speak, can't wait to wear it!
You pay for aesthetics. On Running likes to think they are the fashion kings or queens of running.

ON is out here WILDIN with the prices… they don’t have a properly priced shoe in their lineup lol.
Eclipse and surfer are decent here in Australia, everything else is criminal
tried it on today and jogged on the treadmill. Best shoe I have tried on since the NB Supercomp trainer.
It’s funny seeing comments of people complaining about the price. I’m in Australia the speed 4 increased price by $20 and it had no radical changes over the speed 3. Hoka is on a mission to price gouge every shoe release they can Skyward X weighs the same a F150 and costs $225usd no one complains. Cielo is $420 in Aus no one complains. ON has always been on the pricey side and they push the Swiss engineering my and premium materials. If you don’t like em go buy a pair of brooks glycerins that has been unchanged for 20 years but increases price almost every year
Will wait for more feedback. 200 lb runner and Prime X2 is that trainer for me. Lightstrike pro just works for my weight as a super foam. Superblast as well.
Curious to see a detailed run test and comparison between Hyper & Cloudeclipse...i enjoy the latter for my daily training, i feel the Cloudeclipse is more superior in terms of comfort, overall performance & versatility.
ON was recently caught paying peanuts 🥜 to the workers in Vietnam that make ON shoes in their Vietnamese sweat shops. Turns out it costs ON about 20 dolllars to make a shoe they charge people 200 dollars for. Shows how utterly insane the mark ups are, and ON is making so much money. Im sure most other brands are doing the same.

Here, this one is less expensive than a Nike Invincible 3 and Asics SuperBlast ! I will consider the Hyper over the normal Cloud Monster 2 ( cheaper than a Gel-Nimbus 26 or Nike Vomero 17 for when I do need another running shoes.
3:43, I wear a size 13 and can confirm shoes that size look like boats. I always pick up a size 10 or 11 thinking it's my size and then am shocked when I see the size of a 13 on a shelf next to smaller sized shoes lol.

I just wore my new On Eclipse and they are nice but not as comfortable as my Cloud-monster. I’m about to buy the cloud monster 2 I hope they are even better than the original. Not sure about these Ons

So, Cloudmonster Hyper or just go with Cloud Eclipse?
I have seen some Cloudmonster 2 VS Cloud Eclipse. Eclipse wins those test almost every time. Is this monster better than Eclipse?
That price is a bit too much, but at the same time, im pretty sure once i have my shoe.I might not be worried about the price.So far, i've been impressed with a lot of their shoes

220 for half a premium foam ?
$220 American means about 270 Canadian .. I don’t think so I just stick with the Rebel v4 $170 cdn.
On shoes consistently seem to be pretty solid performers but 10-20% overpriced across the board. I liked the Cloudmonster 1 and the Cloudboom Echo but didn’t pay for either at retail (and wouldn’t if I had to).
I don't know who is going to spend $220 on a daily trainer, but it won't be me!
Damn. really cool shoe, BUT...
when a shoe bridges over the $200 price tag, then fair questions about the "justification", "utility", & "merits" of the shoe come forth in order to make the investment, So in this case with the ON Hyper, the $220 ROI ain't there for me - separating looks, very well built product, durability, & other factors that ON is known for in the shoe industry...
$220 is just crazy… too many other great options for less. And I know looks are subjective, but that thing is hideous.
