Is this revealed later in the story? Because... it is never brought up again in the Volumes I covered. (I know he can smell blood or disgusting stenches of Demons, but it isn't explained by the "Happiness Broken" thing.) I could be wrong, though.
@@magecrafter101 the blood is not always related with demon, in fact tanjiro never encounter with demon before episode 1, we know how his father died after all
Personally, over re reading demon slayer twice (Owning the full manga set) and watching the anime. I do believe demon slayer lacks in story due to the author rushing through the manga from the Swordsmith village arc to the infinity war arc, this can be seen due to how fast Tanjiro progressed through these very short arcs and how fast the story was rushed in the end. Besides the main characters, most of the people within the story weren't really fleshed out, especially he demons. both upper moon 5 and four seemed to die pretty easily with the cast bearly struggling against them even though Tanjiro, tengen and the main characters almost literally died the last arc and the demons themselves were pretty boring. Even though Tanjiro practically handled upper moon four's split emotions, in the training arc he could bearly keep up with the Hashira at first which just added confusing and inconsistently to the power scaling. Though Kokushibo and Akaza's death were well done, Douma's fight was lacking and seemed to be too quick and the infinity castle arc seemed to be focused more on killing Muzan than fighting the actual upper moons. Obviously this is my opinion, I generally feel like Demon slayer should've been given 5 or more arcs, given time to allow us to emotionally understand each character better and allowed us to introduce the upper moons in a consistent fashion, because going from fighting UM6 and bearly winning to fighting UM5 and Four with somewhat ease felt almost unfair and boring. They should've swtiched the Swordsman village arc with just UM5, then go into the Hashira Training arc focusing on each of the main cast (Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Kanao, and Inosuke) then introduced Kaigaku, had a mission where they fight UM4 which ultimately ends in Muzan coming, and then finally the Infinite Castle Arc.
You said it! The Anime at least elevates the material, but in the Manga, the fights are just even more boring and faster paced. It wasn't too difficult, to be honest. Thanks for your comment.
