Upgrade! Thanks for this. Really helpful to know what all the different pieces are called, I wasn't certain how to find all of what I needed before without knowing the names!
Shocked to hear that these types of videos do poorly. They're why I started following you in the first place; behind the scenes stuff for such a specifc niche is hard to come by.
Upgrade! I stumbled on your channel looking for lens suggestions for board game content, since that's what our channel does lol, and if I had this video when I first started it would've saved me so many headaches trying to figure out as an amateur to all of this what to do!
Upgrade! Really great video! I'm interested in this content / course as I want to start filming content for my local card shop.
Thanks!
I have some similar gear at work. Would def be interested in some in-depth video guides/classes. Upgrade!
Upgraded, thanks for making this type of content. It really helps out us smaller channels to get ideas. I tune in every Wednesday!
Upgrade! I appreciate the quality of your videos and all the info you’re willing to share. I’d be interested in a video series going through the different experience level setups!
Upgrade. Thanks for the information. Really awesome content, can't wait for more. So glad I subscribed, I could have missed all this goodness!
This is amazing. TY so much for showing us how to set this up for ourselves.
I love these types of videos. Thank you
Upgrade! These videos help a lot and I appreciate the time you put into them
Upgrade! 🎉 Yes, thank you for doing these. Considering getting into some content creation myself, so this is helpful. Would maybe consider taking a class if you offered one, especially if you did what you said starting with a beginner affordable setup and then how you can upgrade from there. 😊
Upgrade. Thanks for the video.
A) upgrade
B) would be interested in a series on setup and gear for all levels!
Course sounds like a great idea!
Great video thank you for taking the time to make it!
I would love a beginner level class. Not sure I would get the equipment when starting so the info with the better gear might be lost on me. I guess it depends on who you want to target with he videos.
this was awesome thank you!
these type of vids are super helpful, especially coming from a pro
Yes please! So much to learn and grow
Thanks for sharing, Tim!
always happy to help friend! thank you so much!
Omg I would sign up for a master class on this!!!! Upgrade!
Thanks for doing this video. Big help. Upgrade!!!!!
SWEET! so glad this helps!
Upgrade! This was nice to see.
thanks so much for watching Mark!
That’s awesome!
upgrade - very cool thx
Upgrade! Love these videos!
I appreciate you!
Upgrade! Thank you for this video!! I feel like it has been hard to find information on filming/streaming board games...any type of content on this topic would be very helpful. It may even help people who are starting out save money. I personally did trial and error and wasted a lot of time and money. I feel like my current stream setup is ok, but could be better if I had the right information for my needs in the beginning.
Upgrade ⬆️
I need a setup like this badly but afraid to ask how much it all costs 😬
Hey make a skillshare! I'd do it! Apprecaite your work and endless efforts Tim! 🙏🏼🙌🏼
Sure the course would be good. I’ve been struggling with the top down for a while now. What camera do you recommend at the low to medium price range for it?
I’m trying to get an over head view of my dice tray. I liked the idea of a C Stand for filming overhead for the whole table. Any recommendations for just the dice tray?
This is very helpful, thank you...upgrade
Thank you, Tim! Could you please make recommendations on the lighting setup specifically for this top-down shooting? I sometimes struggle with glare on shiny surfaces like sleeved cards, even when there is no direct lighting from above
ah that's a really tough one that could definitely be an entire video! I'd definitely recommend aputure's amaran lights (many of them put out great power for a cheaper price point), but I use the 120D. Ultimately, what's more important is how you diffuse your lights by using a light dome (aputure light dome 2 or mini 2) and or white paper! The table surface also plays a huge impact as well (glossy surfaces suck, felt/matted don't have glares) hope that helps!
@@TimChuon also curious about how you light these shots!
i would die for a course on how to get content that looks as good as yours! ...but then what would you do when I CRUSH your channel with mine?? 😂
Edit: Upgrade!
What’s a good aperature setting?
I want a course! I need help building my community and definitely my overall video quality! I do ok considering I’m using a $5 microphone and my iPhone as my camera!
Upgrade. Make the course!
actually started filming it this past weekend-working on it!! Thanks so much for watching Morgan!
How do you deal with the lights in your roof when filming? Mine cause awful shadows
Upgrade!
Definitely interested in the course!! #upgrade
you're the best Ty! can't wait to get on this!
I will be your first student! Let me know when you’re going to start up!
awesome so cool to hear!! working on this asap!!
I’m looking for a cheap alternative to top down filming
Upgrade
What lens are
You using? 24mm? 50mm wide?
15-35 f2.8 (canon rf)! The 24 would work well too, but the 50 would likely be too much!
@@TimChuon cool I need a small range lens currently I only have the 50mm rf mount 😫
Ahh that’s going to be cropped in a lot, but you could use that for close ups on one component! Check out the 24-105 or the 24-50 is a way more budget friendly option!
Did you ever make that course?
i haven't yet! it's on my list to do but hopefully this year~
UPGRADE...my skills by making a workshop! ;)
YAS i'm definitely working on this then!
@@TimChuon You shouldn't be a one-man wolfpack. ;) Keep up the great work!
Interested! #upgrade
SWEET thanks Kurt! i'll get working on this! 💪
