STAY HUNGRY- with @sebastiancomedy
I consider Sebastian the funniest person on earth.
But you will see a serious side of him in this interview as well.
And even Though he’s very humble about it… You are going to witness
One of the most remarkable stories About staying true to your dreams, and believing in your vision and goals you will EVER hear.
Ever feel like you’re in a place where your dreams are too far away? Like you’re stuck somewhere you don’t like and time is running out? Well, this man NEVER gave up and chose to CONQUER HIS DREAMS!
(He would probably Make fun of that statement, but it’s 100% true!)
He is an actor, best selling author, and my FAVORITE comedian! I proudly introduce to you, Sebastian Maniscalco!
You Probably recognize him from his many successful @netflix specials or his role in the Academy Award Winner for BEST PICTURE “Green Book”
In this episode, we really get pretty deep into exactly how Sebastian used his FOCUS (really his OBSESSION) to unlock his true potential to make his lifelong dream a reality! We discuss the incredible hustle, that was required for him to achieve this level.
SUCCESS LEAVES CLUES. And we uncover several of those clues in this interview
I think Sebastian’s fans will see a side of him, perhaps they have not seen or heard before. And for those of you who are not familiar with him, I believe you’re going to become a raving fan of this remarkable and immensely talented man
Now I ask YOU, have you put a time limit on your dreams? I’ll tell you now, the only way to achieve at an ELITE level is to CONTINUE to STRIVE for SUCCESS and DO WHATEVER IT TAKES ACHIEVE IT!
You are going to learn a ton and be incredibly entertained by the entire program!

Without naming names.. I must say this ... ED is a much much better interviewer than many of the other popular podcasts. His research, engagement, sensitivity and connection with the guest is something very personal and likable...
I CANNOT GET ENOUGH of Sebastian Maniscalco. Intelligent and well-crafted comedy. Thanks Sebastian.
Beyond glad you chose him as a guest. You bring to light all the things people don’t even think about. Thank you Ed. Thank you.
You’re so welcome! Appreciate the kind words brother!
What's 1 subject you wished he would have elaborated more on?
20:49 Airport check-in . . .GOLD !!! "the guy behind me is 500 pounds...that doesn't matter? "
Love this guy.......I haven't had a comedian make me laugh as much as this guy does in YEARS! Great interview :)
Awesome! What's 1 question you would have asked him if you could have?
Love Sebastian! As a fellow Italian, I totally resonate with a lot of his comedy. Saw him live a couple of years ago and it was one of the greatest comedy acts I have ever seen. Nice to see a different side of him. Great interview as always! #maxout
Loved how sweet and open he was. Also how unpretentious he is. BUT I loved learning his Dad did not do the anti freeze on the bologna . THANK YOU ED !!
Incredibly happy to hear you enjoyed the video !
What's 1 question you would have asked him if you could have?
Okay I'm late to the dinner table here but Sebastian has gotten too big for his pants nowadays. I used to love his way
In what way. I've just been introduced to his comedy this year, and he's hilarious.@@Happy2bme2dae
Never heard of Sebastian but am so intrigued in him and his story and his 19 step falling down the steps. Truth. Honesty. Vulnerability. Great job Ed.
You are VERY welcome. So happy I was able to share this interview with you. Was there anything he said that really caught your attention in a positive light?
I’ve never heard of Ed.
Incorporating his acts between the conversation is so powerful. Always improving Ed. You’re the man!
Love the fact Sebastian paid respect to the late great John Ritter! Very very classy!!! And Ed - you’re killing it with your interviews! Keep up the great work!
You’re so welcome! Thank you for the kind words! Happy you liked and enjoyed the video! What's 1 thing you would have asked him if you could?
Ed - this is why you’re my favorite! This guy is hilarious and brilliant! Thank you so much for hunting him down to do this interview 💕💕
This was probably one of my favorite interviews yet !! What's one thing that he said that got you inspired?
One of the key takeaways for me was that Sebastian canceled his Atlanta show because his daughter was sick. I am always one to put work before my family, and it is something that I need to stop doing. He has a very strong moral compass and I found that very admirable 💪🏽
I love his humor. This was such a great interview!! 💪🏻 #MAXOUT
You think this might be one of my best interviews yet?
@@EdMylettShow I would say it's definitely up there! There have been some pretty intense interviews, but I love the lightheartedness in this one. Lighthearted doesn't mean that it didn't still have a great message though!!
Ed you are knocking it out of the park with these interviews. I love that you are finding these great people that aren’t really on “the circuit” to talk about their stories. I love Sebastian. His interview with Seinfeld on Comedians in Cars... made me love him. Your interview took it to the next level. Thanks for finding these interesting people and telling their stories.
Incredibly happy to hear you enjoyed the video ! Truly appreciate the love and support. Who do you think I should have on next?
truly!
@@EdMylettShow would love see you interview David Goggins.
Ed you are such a great puller of information from the heart of the interviewees.
THANK YOU! What's 1 thing you would have asked him if you could?
Ed. your so humble. I’m italian sicilian australian woman, I love Sebastian he is my age i can so relate, i’m guessing your the same age ? 😂❤
Hey Ed!! I'm a 24 year old uber driver. My routine is get up - eat - work - sleep and I come home late at night and before going to sleep I'd watch your videos. Life's tough but you keep me dreaming sir!
Thank you for sharing with all of us! Massively appreciate it! Keep working hard!!
I love ❤️ it! Humor is so powerful! Thanks for the story, I will stay HUNGRY 😋
You are VERY welcome. So happy I was able to share this interview with you. What's one thing that he said that got you inspired?
Let me know what you thought about this incredible conversation with Sebastian!? I can’t wait to read your thoughts and comments!
Ed! Appreciate all this content you keep bringing. It helps me a lot, stay blessed!
My favorite part is if he stood waiting on tables and not go to the comedy club maybe he would miss the opportunity of a life time
This is very funny & informative . I laughed so hard Thank you Sebastian and Ed
Thanks for being consistent with your material brother. And appreciate the thought you put into in selecting the guests for your viewers.
I always wondered this about comedians, do they just walk around being funny or is it only on stage? Turns out there’s more to comedians than comedy, you nailed it in the first 4 minutes of the video 👊🏼
O M G, I never heard about Sebastian until my girlfriend Bella and I watched his Netflix show last night. Freaking hilarious!!! Today, I watched this interview while working out at the gym....and laughing my butt off. Ed, I'm sure you have many gifts. Interviewing people is one of your Best! Thank you for all you do. - Neil
My absolute pleasure! Thank you for the love and support. You keep showing up, and i'll keep putting videos out! What's 1 thing you would have asked him if you could?
@@EdMylettShow I know how often people doubted me and told me not to even try, when I said I wanted to be a world-class marathon runner, write a book and be a professional speaker. Who encouraged and inspired Sebastian to pursue his dream (with NO Plan B) of being a world class hilarious comedian?
I absolutely loved this interview! You are both so authentic! Love Sebastian's stories about how behind the scenes all is not as it seems. Even super successful people have self-doubt or feel like they don't belong. Thanks for this Ed!!!
My absolute pleasure! Thank you for the love and support. You keep showing up, and i'll keep putting videos out!
*Success is a habit, shoot for a marathon - not a sprint.* Even if it feels like nothing is happening today, you have to know, effort doesn’t disappear in vein.
O'SSÉIN - Master Your Mind With Me yes indeed
Love This, So true! Sometimes it feels like we're stuck in a rut and the wheels are spinning...and then we do something very small and we change our course for the rest of our life.!☺
What a great interview about someone that stick to his vision regardless of the circumstances of life and finding a way to make it happen, thank you Ed
BOOM! Incredibly happy to hear you liked the video.
Who should I have on the show next?!
His story is incredibly inspiring. Ed you and your editing team truly capture the feeling and emotion of his story. The intro where he is performing really captures the vibe of the work behind getting to a stage at the level he is at. Thank you for your example of tenacity and constant improvement in interviewing. I am taking notes!
Thank you for the kind words! It really means a lot to me reading comments like these. What's 1 thing you wished he went more in dept on?
Ed is the best interviewer by far... #lovefromindia
Thank you very much, your words are far too kind!
Good catch on the John Ritter connection.
Sebastian has been a favorite for me for years. I can watch his stand up over and over and still 🤣. Ed, I love your interviews. You're wonderful at what you do. Such a positive channel!!❤❤
thank you for posting this! I honestly appreciate the vulnerability on your interviews and how you allow your guests to share their hearts and stories.
All the best!
You are VERY welcome. So happy I was able to share this interview with you. What's one thing that he said that got you inspired?
@@EdMylettShow the honesty about the mistakes and the things that didn't work that well... Rolling down the stairs at the oscars, the Jimmy Fallon debut blank, the ability to survey mistakes and setbacks... It basically just shows us that it is ok when things don't work that well, because all things work together for our good, or as you say, things happen for us. Loved it!
Your honesty to recognize when your yes should have been a no, stretching you too thin... that was also GOLD!
All the best.
Awesome interview! Love Sebastian! World-class host!!
You think this might be one of my best interviews yet?
Mannnn 🤣🤣🤣. Sebastian nailed that airline skit. I work for an airline that's how I know. I was at work listening to this interview. I about lost it!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Loved this interview.
Glad you found such enjoyment from the interview!

Such a underrated interview, should have well over 500k views!! Sm is my top 3 Forsure
Yes! Hometown Chicago boy! Love this dude! You get the absolute best guests!
You’re so welcome! Thank you for the kind words! Happy you liked and enjoyed the video! Was there anything he said that really caught your attention in a positive light?
what I love about him is he had a relatable story. I love how you interview people who were regular Joe's and they maxed out their life! #whenwfgislife #maxout
What a remarkable interview with my favorite comedian Sebastian Maniscalco! You are so appreciated that now I know more about him and admire him all the more not only as a world-class comedian but a loving family man as well.
My first exposure to Mr. Maniscalco was the Entennman's Coffee Cake skit a few years ago. I've watched that a dozen times. I was a fan then and I am convinced that he's meant for every facet of entertainment. Great interview.
Thank you for sharing with all of us! Massively appreciate it!
Was there anything he said that really caught your attention in a positive light?
@@EdMylettShow Absolutely. The transparency about his failures. That actually makes them Wins. You and Tony always say, "Life is not happening to you. It's happening for you."
Phenomenal Man, You were built to educate. Your 1 of 4 Guys I spend time studying
Who are the other three?
Incredibly happy to hear you enjoyed the video ! Truly appreciate the love and support.
I love the Sebastian interview. The questions you ask are perfect crisp and to the point.!!!!
Sebastian is my favorite comedian bar none !!!! This is what brings me joy as I work on projects. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and family stories!!!! The BEST !!!!!😂
Ah he had me in tears too! His passion is infectious :D
What's 1 thing you would have asked him if you could?
That was a pleasure from start to finish. You two together have an incredible energy. You chased him down for a reason and it was clearly shown in that video. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words! It really means a lot to me reading comments like these. THANK YOU! What's 1 subject you wished he would have elaborated more on?
Mr. Mylett you are genuine, there is no room for fear. You will be around for as long as you want. SO NO FEAR! God Bless You & your family.
Thank you very much, your words are far too kind!
God Bless! Curious, was there a particular part of the interview that stood out to you the most?
The way this interview was set up was so on point for me for a very simple reason. I don't really carve out time to watch comedy and its difficult in its self to find standups that I don't feel like I have to take a mental bath afterward but the beauty of not being familiar with Sebastian's work is that I was able to see a comedian in a different element that was not his space. The small clips of his standup gave me a good sample of his humor so I was able to relate to Sebastian's grind more BUT the interview helped unlock a lot of different perspectives that will help me keep the blinders on and MAJOR in the MAJORS and stop MAJORING in the MINORS. I just read yesterday in John Maxwell's book Developing the Leader within you 2.0 "The art of being wise is knowing what to overlook - William James". This interview placed the icing on the cake!!!
Thank you Mr. Mylett
You are so welcome! Thank you for listening. Good to know it resonated with you! What's 1 thing you wished he went more in dept on?
“There’s no deadline on your dream” that’s awesome 🙌
You think this might be one of my best interviews yet?
EdMylett I have some specific favorites like the dr joe and some other inspirational interviews you’ve done but I’m a big fan of Sebastian so I was amped to hear you interview him and for him to shed some light on his rise to success , so I really enjoyed this one alot🔥💪
EdMylett it’s rare to hear the serious side of Sebastian so it was awesome to hear this
Yes... ! Ive ben doing stand up..for 31 years...and I haven't gotten close to making it... but...--im still learning...
AHHHHH my heart is exploding @edmylett of course you interview my FAVORITE comedian ever!! By far my favorite is his skit about "checking in at the airport" my friends and I have never laughed so hard!! I looooove him, plus I'm Italian as well! We saw him live when he was in Austin . He is so flipping funny!! #MAXOUT Thank you thank you for hunting him down, this is magical!!!! Hugs from Texas!! Btw "Blissful Dissatisfaction" changed everything for me!! 🙏🙏
Thank you so much! Happy you took the time to listen, and enjoyed the video. What's 1 subject you wished he would have elaborated more on?
I love this guy's comedy. I'm from Romania and I grew up here and I relate so much with his family descriptions because it's just like mine.
What's one thing said that he said that really resonated with you?
@@EdMylettShow It was something both of you were relating about where you guys were both sort of implying that when you have something great that happens in your life you don't let yourself get to happy. I do the same thing too. You see everything in life has a good or bad usage or side to it. A knife is not bad by itself, but you can can use it to feed people, or you can use it to kill people. Happiness is associated only with being good. But there is a bad kind of happiness to believe it or not. It can boat your ego; or I have seen it used to intimidate others, as I have seen in religious and business circles. It looks like you guys understand what an untempered happiness is, which not many people understand. I'm not a perfect person, so I'm still trying to be watchful over myself and learn how to be happy.
By the way Ed, I used to sneak into your neighborhood in the 90's to surf when I was a teenager.
Ed, You are simply amazing. I look forwards to your weekly broadcasts.....I listen to very few and you are one of those few....I don't have time to listen to everyone say the same thing....So I listen to your videos because they are focused, they are fresh, they are new, they are well thought out....They are chalked full of wisdom...and I am all about concentrated wisdom...not watered down information that I have to spend hours to sift through....Thank you for making these videos available to us. You are giving so much back to the world and I can say in behalf of many...You are simply fabulous.....Dianna-Brianne

YES!!! I have been waiting for this since your instastory about it. My favorite comedian and favorite mentor! Thank you!
You are VERY welcome. So happy I was able to share this interview with you. What's one thing that he said that got you inspired?
I love that Ed on this level still has the fortune in the follow up. Sowing seeds and harvest comes. In my business I know that I made a true connection with someone, weather it be a potential business partner to add to my team or a client, just for them to take a good minute to get back to me. That last little tid bit of the video really reminded me that good seed in good soil will reap harvest. Don't give up and don't worry. Neither of those activities serve me.
Great interview; I have to say that I got a kick out of watching you laugh til your eyes watered. You’re a very genuine guy Ed:)

Loved this one....thank you so much for the honesty !
What's one thing that he said that got you inspired?
honesty humanizes almost anyone. Great interview and honesty!
@@EdMylettShow So sorry for my late reply, one thing that got me so inspired and got me off my ass to take action was when Sebastian was blanking on the Jimmy Fallon show, it has happened to me in various situations & it hurts so bad but Sebastian being so open about it and then going back to the show joking about it was so powerful and beautiful. It showed a very human side to this very talented and hugely successful person. Longest ramble but hope it makes sense.
"So You had a bad night, first 24 hr suck, chop it up suck it up, now go redeem yourself"!!! 💪👍

One of my fav comedians. Ed sure knows how to interview. Well done
Hi Ed👋🇬🇧 I recently discovered Sebastian Maniscalco and love his comedy. He’s old school, not vulgar, respectful, doesn’t swear every other word and I like his sense of humour. I just discovered you too today Ed searching for footage of Sebastian. I’ll be honest with you Ed I hadn’t seen you before but saying that I’m glad I saw you today and thoroughly enjoyed watching you both bounce off each other. I hope you both stay in touch. You instantly come across as such a lovely human being who is grounded and genuine with the same qualities as Sebastian, and like him you’re also a loving family man with values. I won’t be making regular posts (I wouldn’t be able to go to America) but I would definitely subscribe and tune in occasionally giving 👍🏻 Thank you for perusing Sebastian and doing this wonderful interview. I know it’s stressful staying ‘current’ but both of you needn’t worry, your futures are bright 😀♥️
Just listened to this whole interview at the gym and finished at home. I was a fan of Sebastian's before and this made me appreciate him and his comedy even more. I downloaded his book on @audible too. Can't wait to listen. Read by himself too. Thanks @edmylett ! Love your work, interviews, and super-positive attitude! It has helped me a lot and helped to make great, positive changes in my life. #MAXOUT

Awesome interview, so much inspiration. Well done guys.
Great story and a great dose of humor to lift up my morning. Sebastian is so funny and you have to watch the video the see all of the physical nuances of his comedy. Goals, goals, goals! To quote Zig Ziglar, this man is NOT a wandering generality.
Curious, was there a particular part of the interview that stood out to you the most?
The portion of pursuing his DESIRE to be a Standup Comedian, period. His laser focus on his desire-driven goal is key to achieving goals, no matter how large. Transforming a WANT into a DESIRE is the difference between "its okay if I don't get there" to "I AM achieving this goal". Probably not surprising to Sebastian as he already has seen himself where he is many times before while visualizing being there.
39:32 In a world of fake stuff being transparent and sharing the clip where you think you blew it is really refreshing. Thank you for interviewing this guy Ed. Your videos are very uplifting and consistently valuable. Kindest and best regards...
Great interview Ed! Way to get an awesome guest from outside the traditional sphere. I loved how honest you both were!
Thank you so much for the massive love and support!
What's one thing that he said that got you inspired?
Wow! Thanks for the interview. I feel that I can relate to Sebastian. I’m a pretty serious woman. A friend even called me “proper”. But there can be a lot of times that I don’t mind acting like a child, silly and not afraid of making fun of myself (not the kind that’s degrading my worth tho’). I just started to be a speaker. I would love to have humor into my stories (be the authentic me, basically). Thanks Ed for this interview. I now realize that you don’t have to be a comic 24/7 in order to entertain your audience. I have hope now.
Thank you for sharing with all of us! Massively appreciate it!

@@EdMylettShow I didn't know that he moved here to California with the singular goal to perform stand up. The certainty that he would be a stand up comedian no matter how long it would take. “STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS”! Lol 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I've never even heard of Ed Mylett before. But, what I like about him is, while so many interviewers across the spectrum are so good at what they do they come across as friends to interviewees rather than as interviewers, Mylett actually comes across as one who's interviewing someone, almost as if he's allowing his viewing audience to see the mechanics of interviewing through him. Sebastian Maniscalco isn't bad either. LOL! Rock on!

EdMylett Honestly I loved when you were talking with him about blissful dissatisfaction and it was like you were giving him so much value and I really liked seeing that. Also when you guys talked about momentum and whether or not he should take breaks from tour, I remember something Steve Harvey said: “Everywhere I go in the world I see the Nike swoosh and guess what? Love love Sebastian’s comedy…I binge watch him! One of the funniest comedians EVER. I am no prude but so many comics soooo over use the f bomb which wears thin after about the 100th time it is used in a routine. Sebastian is fresh air and I wish him the best for many many years to come. 😀

Hello my friend. I loved this interview, you rock . I have lift my self up , and build my career with you're life example.

LOVE this guy!! Thanks ED!
Awesome!! Did you have a favorite part of the video?
@@EdMylettShow yes your transparency! When you received from Sebastian that it is ok to say no to things my spirit lept for you! When we operate from fear, fear of failing, or "this" ending, or I "should" do it... we strive out of fear and as you are finding stretching yourself too thin. This mindset actually pushes you toward failure because it is unsustainable. The very thing we want to avoid we create because fear is the driver. When we choose to say no, we re-access our "lane" and we can improve our calling and purpose. Yes you can do the things that are being asked of you but "should" is a negative motivator especially when you said you did not want to do it. In the book The Big Leap by Gay Henderson he says we have our zone of competence, our zone of excellence and many of us are good at a lot of things. But this leaves our zone of genius void which is where we "should" be all the time. Living from our zone of genius is effortless and joyful and fits us and is Gods best! Love you man!!
Love these interviews! Gets me 🔥 up to chase my dreams!
A little late to the game but what a great interview. Really got to know Sebastian...best comedian ever - so talented.
