Thanks a lot for your guidance, it was bang on, got my Ertiga car registered with Bharat Reg in Navi Mumbai, with savings of around 60k. As usual the dealers were ignorant or they were showing no interest. I told them the same procedure as mentioned in you video. They were of the opinion how come a lay man knows this much about Bharat registration. Later the dealer celebrated the launch of car in big way saying it was their first Bharat registration done at any of the dealership pan India.

As far as I found it, the process is still on hold due to opposition from states. States losing lump sum tax which is their worry! India as one country should have only 1 numbering system all across.

Hello Sir, I live in Hyderabad. Recently I visited a dealer to book a car and told them that I wanted to opt for Bharat registration. He told me that it's not yet started in the state of Telangana and forced me to go with State number. I cancelled the deal. It seems most dealers are either ignorant of this or not comfortable giving this convenience to customers.

Kerela has suspended BH series registration for time being.Government is more concerned about the loss of revenue once this registration come in to play. Center should make it compulsory for all state.

But you can purchase the car in other states too with BH series. There is no compulsion to buy the car in Kerala provided you meet the conditions he explained in this video. Best wishes.

Actually, BH series option should be provided to all vehicle owners irrespective of the status of their employers' presence in other states/UTs as there are many salaried people who switch jobs and relocate from one place to another.
What needs to be seen is the impact on resale value of BH series vehicles as the buyer might not necessarily be a Govt or Big Private company employee. For someone with a BH series car to sell is going to be difficult unless government opens this for all. Time will tell.
Odisha is the first state to implement BH registration. I got my Nexon in BH series from Bhubaneswar on 20 September.

As per gazette notification, the invoice price will exclude GST. Also, the formula for road tax has a multiplication factor of 1.25. Kindly correct the info provided in the video.
Yes GST is excluded for calculation of road tax. Clearly mentioned in the notification.

Cng is not normal..it is dangerous that's why not used in developed nation like USA and Europe..

@@ns8243 no cng is not used in develop country like usa because there are huge resources of fuel and in other European nations , same things apply like there are also huge resources of fuel available and demand is less compare to supply so prices are low . in india huge demand and govt also making money because gov has no other vision rather than looting by imposing taxes on normal public and resources are also less compare to develop country. and yes u can search even many developed countries like usa has also 2-3% market shares of cng vehicles.

Dear sir, thanks for making a video on Bh series. This government initiative was supposed to be started from 15th sept. However, there is no clarity as of now. No dealership or RTO (in Delhi NCR) has started the same as yet. Most are not even aware.

I suggest instead of new Bharat Series , common road tax must be applied all over India . And in case of transfer , the process must be made online , hassle free and and well co ordinated between the state governments

Sab politics ka khel Hai. Curently in karnataka it is congress. So bharat registration is not available to private employees and road tax is 20 % for above 10 lacs car price and if you compare with other states is so less especially Gujrat. Same amount if I spend in Gujrat I will get a automatic and there in karnataka i will get manual model . It's highly unfair. Your point is correct but no practical implication.

What about address proof? Does it require address proof of same city from where we are registering the vehicle i.e delhi in your case?
Very well explained. However, sadly this has not been implemented yet in most states, as pointed by you. In Rajasthan, no dealer is willing to talk about BH series.
If more influencers like you cover this topic and more people start demanding this from dealers, hope the RTOs start implementing this.

sir i recently visited the Renault showroom in Pune & requested them to opt for BH series...the salesperson started counting n number of issues which I will face if I opt for BH series... he said I will end up paying more road tax in 15 yrs.... then i will fall into the trouble of paying road tax in every 2 yrs which will be a very lengthy & hassling process...i don't know why people are never ready to accept change

Let first states implement this BH series . They don't have clear guidelines copy with them about fresh registration and are having 100s of doubts and u are asking about resale... Even RTO people are asking the same questions to MoRTH and MoRTH does not have answers.....

Working with a consulting firm(more than 4 offices in state/UTs) based out of Gurgaon. I recently purchased my car from my hometown on 1st November 2022 due to work from home. Now dealer is giving hell lot of excuses in issuing BH number due to work from home. Twist here is BH registration is not yet started in Gurgaon and local RTO in my hometown is not allocating BH number as my company doesn't have office in my hometown. They are only giving BH number to government employees. It's a headache now !!

I was working in Delhi and bot a new two wheeler. Drove it for 2 years and now i got transferred to another state. I had to sell it for less than 30k due to these NOC and re registration process. Atleast if i buy a car now i wil take BH registration

Its a good initiative by govt. But the amount u save in tax & re-registration , will loose in time of resale value. Bcz BH series is not for everyone 2nd buyer needs to do re-registration & pay taxes unless he or she eligible for BH. & if ur saling the car to dealer or going for a exchange they definitely gonna adust the cost of changes from resale value!

Thanks for this important piece of info. One query, at the time of resale, the 2nd buyer would have to pay the applicable road test. If 2nd buyer is not eligible for BH series, how would he/she be able to pay the regular state road test?

Forget about transfer some employees get into different city with different company which might not have existance in more than 4 states... Govt should think that as well.

So it is “okay for that person to pay road tax in installments (every 2 years)” … why hold him for 15 years in one state system.

calculations seems wrong in the video - I think correct formula should be = (invoice price*1.25*2)/15 that will make Rs 22683 for 2 years not Rs18,146. Please confirm i may be wrong. Also invoice price excludes the GST price which is already included in your ex-showroom price.

They should do the same for registration.. Should implement one tax registration for all states like GST .. But problem is every state wants to eat money in the name of taxes.. Loot people in their own ways like Maharashtra has highest road tax... But see the road pathetic.. Same with all states..

Hi, I have some doubts. I am checking for tata tigor XZ
1. There is a factor 1.25 also in government gazzete. Due to this bharat series is more expensive than Maharashtra state registration fee.
2. Incase of CNG this difference is difference increase more.
3. Whether this additional amount of 1100 (HP charges in case of financed) will be there in every installment and the total amount will be same for coming 2 years also.

3) Is it possible to endorse after market CNG kit on RC for this series user?
4) 4 company offices need to me in 4 different states?

I have three questions:
1- After two years when the vehicle owner goes for renewal for another two years , do he/she need to secure form 60 again from the employer ?
2- What if the owner leaves the job during first two years ? Can he/she still renew the registration?
3- What if the BH series owner want to sell the vehicle to any person who is not eligible for BH series?
What are the implications for selling the car at a future date?
