After reading his testimony with lawmakers today he just became one of the few people on my heroes list. I had never heard of him a year ago but saw him perform live online. Just two songs but I was hooked and then saw him live and it was a great show. His honesty in the transcript of his testimony meant more than anyone who hasn't battled addiction will understand. I hope for once somebody in Washington was listening. Drug abuse shouldn't be a crime, no one wants to be a drug addict.

The reason Jelly Roll is singing country is due to him attending the Grand Ole Opry when Craig Morgan appeared and sung "Almost Home" and there is a video on youtube of him performing this song with Craig. Jelly gave testimony on why he changed genres. Also this song is played on country, Christian and contemporary stations. His songs are universal.
Love Jelly Roll. This song and Son of a Sinner and Save Me all have gone to number one on the Country Charts. He also raps and has an incredible back story to his life 🥰

Most of his music videos are amazing. You really need to check out son of a Sinner it’s got more of a rock vibe I think you would like and then check out the same asshole it’ll give you a flavor of jelly rolls rap.
