We have assassin bugs in the US too. My wife got stung by one picking corn in our garden a couple of years ago. She was in tears from the pain and her hand swelled up.

I think he does a great job because the instant reaction to bites is to fling or even smash in defense of these bites. It's amazing how even after being bitten, hes able to wrangle and do it again. His adrenaline is pumping and he's still so gentle. Very cool. Both hosts are awesome and i like how Mark is able to take the pain well it seems. Coyote is awesome too! Tarantulas are amazing animals. As you clearly pointed out they didn’t want to bite or attack you. They are reclusive and just want to get away from humans. I have so much more respect for tarantulas due to this ! ❤❤❤

I got bit by a north American relative of this bug when I was a kid called a Masked hunter (Reduvius personatus). I'm sure not as painful as the bug in this video, but still some of the worst pain I've ever felt. Im 42, got bit when I was 5 and the mark it left is still there.

I find it so fascinating that no matter where you live you tend to become quite familiar and unbothered by most of the native creatures. I live in Queensland Australia but spent the first 20 yrs of my life on a horse stud in county Victoria Au. Some animals are slightly different between the two states but im honestly not terrified by any of our wildlife here. Born and raised in Arizona. I've been stung by a scorpion, but sure if it was bark or hairy by it was in the leg and it felt like a red hot nail going straight into my leg. It took a couple of weeks before the pain FINALLY went completely away. It actually neceotized a bit and nearly 20 years later I still get a strange pimple right where I got stung every few years. I've always been bitten by two black widows in my life. Both times it sucked!!

Good for you because I never ever in this life would do what you are doing! And somebody does have to do the "dirty" work, no? I grew up in the tropics catching bugs and animals as a kid, unsupervised, and avoided all nasties like scorpions and snakes... I realise that what you are doing is extremely valuable even though registered bites and treatments have already been sufficiently documented. That is because your 1st hand experience shared with the entire world is extremely useful for your detailed testimony of each bite, describing the experience so others can know what to expect and how to handle an unexpected encounter with a venomous bug... also removing some of the fear that might lead to panick and a panick attack can cause more damage than anything else. I really love the way your brain works, I saw your stone fish & manowar jellyfish video too, and it is very clear that you know extremely well what you are doing, that's why I like the way you are thinking because I am a no risk guy myself, so kudos on your work! Oh and this wasp catching with a net taped to a drone! Whoa what a brilliant idea and you were pretty lucky also, greatest catch I ever saw, and I'm a pretty good bug hunter myself. You need to test out the bite force of the all mighty Stag beetles. Their pincer can even leave marks on a piece of metal.
