I feel like there is not enough appreciation for how absolutely fucking beautiful and masterful this track is.
The piano and synth work are absolutely delicious, and the guitar work really makes it pop. There's such a serene and uniquely nostalgic and delicious vibe throughout. It's synthy but somehow really organic, which is really difficult to pull off so well. And when that vox drops in, its like transcending into a heavenly realm. The smooth bass drops in to compliment it and add energy. The wonderful arp riff and additional vox in the second drop make the whole thing feel like a beautiful journey.
There's something about this that is somehow both so down to earth, and yet off the planet entirely. It feels like it is not trying to be anything. They didn't try and make a heavy banger or a crowd-pleaser in particular. It feels like they didn't give a fuck about any of that when they made it, and made it completely from the heart. And the result is other-worldly funky rapture.
Fred V and Grafix, you are awesome individually, but something entirely different together. You don't have to re-form entirely, but PLEASE collab on bits in the future. The world NEEDS more music like this.

Such a great track. Remember hearing this track exclusively on a BBC radio mix and got so hyped because i was going to see Fred V and Grafix live in philly a few days later! Heard this song along with many other FV&G classics and lost my fucking mind. Had the time of my life! COME BACK SOON HOSPITAL RECORDS!

Prefer this to ultraviolet, in my opinion this is as close to their old style as we'll get
As much as id love there old style, we have to remember they sampled the shit out of loads of things back in the day, watched an interview with Danny Byrd from 2009 and hospital are on a 0 sample policy to avoid copyright so everything is 100% from scratch, more than likely the reason the stuff aint as good
Josh Linehan yeah thats definitely it mate, they said in an interview that they can't use samples anymore. Its not just the vocal samples but some of the instrument samples they used to use were wicked.

They were talented with samples, so they know what to do, once they get their groove going with legit instruments, synths etc. they'll return to form and be better probably. Though I certainly do miss their old samples.

I gave Electric Sun a listen and sadly I didn't find a single song that interesting which is surprising cause I expected way more from Logistics sadly, its not so much as I didn't enjoy the songs, its that they didn't really stand out from the crowd imo

***** Since Maduk's epic album "Never Give Up" is coming out at the end of this month, his collaboration on the song "Stutter" with the Gresham brothers (Logistics & Nu:Tone) is amazing. It is basically one of the best songs on Logistic's album "Polyphony".

+Apple Slipper I meant like this or 'constellations' for example can't compare to 'just a thought' or 'find a way' in my opinion. However, having listened to this a few more times it does remind me of their old sound.

Avicenna Ahh yeah one of these days is one of my favourites but personally major happy was the track that got me into these guys so I'm not 100% accustomed to their old music but I have listened to a fair few of their older tracks.

I fucking lit up seeing Fred V and Grafix in the title in my sub box. I was not disappointed banger tune lads, I feel like you guys took a different approach to this song (& maybe the rest of the album idk yet) and so far I'm loving it sounds so rad! Oldschool-y sort of aha.

production quality is very impressive and something to be proud of. however, i do miss the sound of songs like basilisk, goggles, etc. oh well.
i much prefer this to ultraviolet. Not a massive fan of the vocals on ultraviolet and this is more like their old stuff. Can't stop listening to it :D
