how to color grade color grading tips premiere pro adobe premiere pro - Krátké a kreslené filmy
A good grade starts on set! Take the time to get your lighting and camera settings right when filming, it'll make coloring a lot easier.
does the lut work in adobe affter effects? pls someone let me know?
Don't forget the curves!! It's all about the curves hahah!
YCImaging True coz it seem almost impossible to grade exposed rushes
i need tutorial on color grading vlog or apply luts 30% ..where can i get one
I've recently switched to DaVinci after using FCX. Really happy about it! Also love that you're showing darker skin tones to demonstrate grading. Canon is a good brand for our shade.
1.) Use a color picker on set along with zebras and false colors as lighting cannot be drastically changed in post . 2.)Make sure your screen(s) is/are calibrated or have more than one so that you can balance between the two if you can afford a second monitor. What looks good on your screen may not translate every where else. 3.) Make sure your colors on set (ie. model or actor clothing , light color temperature etc.) fit your mood or color scheme as this will make it difficult in the grade process to fix in post . 4. Color grade from a mood still taken from a bigger budget project , this will allow you to start with an idea on hand and check back and forth when grading.
quick, to the point, and most importantly no bullshit intro.. subbed
Thanks man. This video is "way more better" than some others I've watched. 😏
Ethan Painter this comment is way more better than other comments ☝🏻😆
@@levistubbs7505 I came here to say exactly the same thing but it seems you got here way more earlier than me 🤣
I think that it’s way more better that he left that mistake in. He could’ve edited it out but he didn’t. That’s way more better 😝
Ethan Painter lmao
Hey, just wanted to add. If you use secondaries, accuracy with your selection is very important. A way to simplify the selection process is to adjust the sliders to more accurately represent the range you are adjusting, and to blur/feather the selection. that is all
Getting your setting correct before / during filming helps a lot in post too. Thank you for the tips.
Exactly what I needed to hear! Thought I knew a lot when I first clicked on the video, but you opened my eyes to something I was doing wrong and never realized. Thank you!!
Always loved your videos.. No extra BS. Super short, to the point and ultra informative. Keep doin the great work boss!
Real talk - that secondary tip is exactly what I've been needing! I'm used to adjusting that in lightroom but I never knew where to find it in premiere! It's about to be a wrap on this color grading! Seriously thank you 💯
You are amazing! I just found your channel and am binge watching them all, learning so much!
You might be cold with coloring 🔥
Thank you for consistently providing us filmmakers with good information! Love your channel! Keep it up!
I am still new in this industry but I have followed your tips and my clients see me as a pro thanks alot
Love how chill and straight forward you are, man. Earned an instant subscriber :)
Brooooo, can you do a video on FCPX regarding color correction. that would be fantastic..
I thought this video was going to be about that.....
Some tips I found were really helpful for me, of course it's always situational... but first and foremost I boost saturation, contrast, darken my blacks, and then adjust exposure accordingly- those are always my first steps, then changing temp if need be, I then create a 2nd adjustment layer with my creative lut and changing the intensity of that.
So glad I found your channel! Great stuff! Thank you for taking the time to do this!
Great advices as always. I will gonna use your tips for my videos. Keep up your great work 🙌
This video was very informal. I haven't went in to learning how to color grade yet but, this video helped me understand the process. Thank you
This was SO helpful! Thank you so much!
Great video man! Everything was spot on.
Thanks for reminding me about secondary color correction in Premiere!
You are by far the best editing CZcamsd. Humble, insanely talented and relaxed. Thanks man.
I follow a number of people on youtube and instagram and a few of em have squarespace tags but I chose to use yours because I appreciate the value and thoughtfulness you bring in all your videos and the fact that of all the youtubers I follow, you're the only one whose free LUT giveaways I've ever been able to grab. I have em as a just in case even though I don't use em. I've been deep in some photography instead of video as of late. Anyways, this is my way of indirectly paying you for your content man. Thanks a mil! Keep it up!
These are great tips! Thanks for sharing!
thank you for your work, just found you here, and now watching thru all your videos. really nice content and a great human.
Solid tips. Been experimenting with LUTs and your tips make a huge difference. Seriously. Also, I got your LUT pack and it’s dope.
I feel greatly encouraged everytime I watch your videos.
Gordymax That’s awesome!
Great tips, y. Always got good stuff.
Great video bro!! I was literally thinking of these yesterday!!
super helpful info here--thanks man
Humbly dropping it...dope bro
Thank you YC, always an inspiration!
These are solid tips! One other thing that I'd add is to keep it simple. It's easy for new colorists to assume that complex grades are the only route to a good image, so that becomes the norm. In reality, keeping grades simple nearly always produces better results as it forces you to think critically about where an image needs to go, rather than mindlessly tweak (and stress) an image until it kinda works.
Crazy, I was just looking at your channel for colour grading tutorials and this got uploaded!
You mentioned "practising". Me being a newbie...how/what would I go about practising colour grading? Do I try to copy the look of someone else? What do I do/whats the process of approaching this as a newbie??
Color grading could literally make or break your videos, thanks man
Thanks man!!! great work too!!!
Very good tips. Thank you.
OMG Thanks for enlightening me. Been using HSL for years and thanks you to I JUST NOW learned you can click, THEN HOLD and drag to select color. Was selecting a single color and then tweaking the sliders... Sheeesh Lol. Also, really great breakdown. I'd include "banding" or "breaking colors" to the list. But I guess that falls within over saturation. Keep doin your thing
Would love a video on how to color grade in a way that makes Black skin pop and not look washed out, like knowing what the general principles are based on our different undertones
Bro, thank you. So motivated right now to learn more about color grading. Need to get right!
maaann thank you for making this short and yet informative video!
Now my favourite CZcamsr! Very humblea nd I fw that.
Wow i have been using the hsl secondary but i never knew that you can pick multiple colors with it 😮 thanks for the tip!
Great tips - thanks for spreading the wealth
Thanks man keep it up 👏🏼👏🏼
So helpful! Very much appreciated!
Thanks for sharing man, it really helped
great video! thanks man!!!
Thanks YC! Short and sweet! 👊😎
This is very Dope my Guy.. I’m just starting out and I got some good nuggets of this video.
Hey man. just wanted to say that I love your videos. I like to consider myself a professional film maker and you always post the most insightful videos. I either learn something new or find reassurance in your advice. There is a lot of second guessing in this business and your like my therapist lol. Keep up the great work!
Dude this video was super helpful! Thank you!
Thanks Man. You're inspiring me. Nuff love from Sierra Leone 🇸🇱
2:46 Thank you! ..for sharing your knowledge!
This video was way more better than I expected
Dude, that transition from you to the color scopes is AMAZING!!!!
I didn't even notice the first time, that means it was perfect 😂
Can they beat Goku tho
I’ve been needing this. I thought V-Log was hard to colorgrade but seem like it’s me.
Great suggestions my dude, much appreciated!
Dope bro, I've been trying to learn the HSL secondary panel but need more help. Can you do a while video about it please? 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thanks for this video!
Very Helpful. Thanks.
Nice Video and thanks For your Help! 💯
So much good informations in one video, thank you ! 🙌🏼
Your content is fire bro! I'm new to your channel and I'm learning a lot from you. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Bro, this actually helped me out a lot! Thank you
Some very practical tips here! What I notice is that in the Premiere color grading panel its set up in a way to color correct/grade in the way that you've suggested in the video.
Never noticed that, but that's TRUE!
Hands Down The MOST under rated Channel on photography.
Thanks for the tips
Such an underrated video. Good work man.
Great video: If I could add one more-during the Color Correcting stage, avoid crunching the blacks too much and losing detail in the darker range, also making sure the whites aren’t blown out-The Wave Form Monitor in Premier’s Lumetri Scopes is an excellent tool for detecting whether the image is properly exposed. There are some great tutorials on CZcams on how to use the Lumetri scopes.
Yeah this is a really basic one I thought he’d talk about
Thank you!!
Thank you for tips.
I think your advices are really important for a beginner, like me.
Thank you so much.
Good luck!!!
Like everyone who think this is so helpful!!!
😍😍😍
dope I needed this, any other tips you guys want to share. I am an amateur
Dope video. Great tips
I do so good with the HSL in Lightroom but as soon as I get in Premier, I can't make sense of it.
Seriously, they need to adapt the Lightroom setup to Premiere ASAP!
@@YCImaging I'd settle for some sort of Lightroom Presets/LUTS crossover so I could at least transfer my settings from Lightroom to Premier!
Jared Gilbertsen Man if we could just create LUT’s within Lightroom CC, I’d be set. I’m using LumaFusion as my main NLE and there just are as many in depth tools as I would like. At least we have LUT import and basic corrections.
i honestly thought we were the only one
Two One Se7en Films if I remember correctly, YCImaging did a tutorial a while back on how to create Luts in Lightroom to use with Premier Pro through the use of a 3rd party plugin/software?
Awesome video as always. I've had a bit of trouble colour grading a single clip in a production because the clips of the building I've placed next to each other in the film were filmed in different seasons, so matching the colours is the most trouble I've had colour grading. Any advice?
Thank you!
Your ‘opinion’ is spot on 🙂
Great video and tips - thx man! Hope you are well 🤗
Great video, thanks for sharing!!
I used to throw LUTS on everything haha, its defo worth to take the time, thanks for another banger!
Luwxwa totally agree
Thanks for these tips, color grading is truly a mystery. You can always be wrong and right on at the same time.
Yeah man dope tips as usual thanks!
I have found that the hue vs hue curves tool is a lot easier and faster to use for skin tone than the secondary CC. Try it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Needed that
Appreciate your videos man, super helpful! Peace
I didn’t know you can hover over skin tones and it would select everything 🤔 I tried secondary one time to fix skin tone but it only selected part of the face and so it did not work.
Any keys to hold while hovering over? (Hope this made sense)
Can you do a tutorial on DaVinci Resolve? Great video btw.
Great video. Great tips.
Very good, thanks
Great content! I would love to see your color grading workflow with skin.
SirGrey I’ll do that! Tutorial coming soon
@@YCImaging Awesome-Saucesome!
@@YCImaging appreciated man
Could you maybe go over some of the best squarespace templates for videographers? I feel like most of the templates fit well for photographers but maybe I’ve been overlooking.
Good work brother I will soon do it one day
Awesome video homie!!!! A big hug from Brasil 🤟🙇♂️👊🔥
solid vid as always
super je kiff le travail que tu fais et je suis fan de toi
Had to save this video thanks!
Bro you"re a king . . .thank you
