What was your favorite item?
the mcdonalds borger
Hey, young man, I need a bell crank lever for an Ohio #4 1/2.
Love that big hanging griddle, auctioneers forget that cowboys liked flapjacks.. and working over an open fire you need something that hangs. I have a 13 inch one, way more common than that big one.
The Garden gate ❤
Luv it silas excellent cheers 🥂 😊
Silas, you could have laid out those letters and had fun with your subscribers trying to unscramble them. Those auctions can be addicting.
"I probably won't buy much today"..... every auction addict's famous last words.... I'm working my way up to having to rent a Uhaul, trucks & suvs are rarely able to haul all of our finds as of late. Creative packing skills are a must😁....
Not too bad on what u spent
Lol that's so true.
Those old school lanterns brought back memories of my grandfather's shop i can still smell the wood burning stove to this day. Thanks for the video Silas......
Hey Silas, maybe the large cast iron piece is a lid to a large Dutch oven?
For an old Welsh man now living in Toronto, your auction vlogs are a really fascinating look into a world gone by that I could only imagine. I also cannot believe how much money is generated at the auction. We had a saying back home "Where there's muck there's brass", and that still seems to hold true. Brilliant stuff.
Once you buy the first item, it's like Lay's Potato Chips, you can't stop!
Great narration, editing, and content. Thanks for putting up quality shows entertaining and informative ⭐️ ⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️
I use to scrap outside topeka in the early 90's, had i known you keep oldeys i would have made the drive, it brake my heart to see goodies crush, so may God of Abraham, isic
Good Sunday Afternoon There My Good Big Bro Silas Of Adventures Made From Scratch
As many sales as you go to, they should reserve a number for you. My dad had an auction company he would go to. He had 36. I didn’t know his number and one time we were joking about something he got at an auction. I raised the item and “36 gets a deal”. It was a good laugh.
Cheap entertainment Silas. As a real old ex-farm boy I haven't seen some of that stuff in 50 years. 🤠
8:49 ,dang nice fire hydrants, you should see the actual NYC fire hydrant i found in the woods & now installed in my back yard, but instead of shooting water ,i rigged it to shoot out fire 🔥 😁,hopefully i find other types for yard art instead of scrap
The only auctions that I get to are the ones that you take me along with you. Had fun thank you
There was some nice looking cast iron cookware there
love the auctions silas, my dad and i went to many in the day, brought back alot of memories. you need a sidekick to haul the loot for ya! thanks!
Nice video. These auction are different from what they are here in Sweden. Much more of show. I wish I could go to US and visit an auction like that. Thanks for video.
I think the shadow was bidding against you on the coke sign. Man,there was a bunch of neat stuff at that sale. These auctions can become addictive. I like those long horn skulls. Years ago I bought a 1946 license plate made of cardboard at our sale barn in town and I found a 1957 license plate made of aluminum in a creek behind my house, still in good condition. I really like these auction viddias, it’s about the only way I get to go anymore.
Excellent u go silas 😊
That yellow COE crane truck is cool! Looks like it could be a Chevrolet Titan 90/GMC Astro 95! That winch truck is cool too!
Love those Auctions - wow - You bought some Nice old Gates - Licence Plates and other Cool Stuff - well spend - lots of Goodies like old Toy Cars and Trucks for only a few Dollars - You had Fun and You were Happy ! Men Working Sign is Unique - wow - my Favorite ! Also love that Large old Toaster - neat ! Another Great Video and many Cheers from Australia !!!!
That gate was nice .
Another great video!
I love going to the sales!!
Great video of the auction. Nice selection of old wrenches and tools. 👍👍👍👍
Love the auctions !❤
Please, post more farm auctions !
"Stop Ahead". It took about two seconds of thought but I finally got it. "How about stop the whole body". Sometimes you throw those out there and crack me up.
You gone done it again Mr Silas. I should be helping with some housework, but it’s going to wait until I walk around this auction site with you. Thank you so very much for bringing your fans and me along with you.
Great haul 👍
Cool video. Love the auction videos.
Very good buys. Very unique things you found I wish could attend one of these type auctions one day
Silas, just a heads up but anytime you see any Pyrex stuff like those bowls..(around 53:23) you should get them if you can for relatively cheap. They are a hot item right now and are selling for big bucks. Especially for the right ones, like sets.
You have a great eye great buys ,Thanks for going
Right on time and nice and loooooong! 😂
👍👌👏 Nice purchases. Some really good looking, interesting pieces. Congratulations 🎉. I can't even tell what my favourite item is because I like a lot.
Best regards, luck and health in particular.
These are my favorite videos 😊
I’m interested in the seats……..awesome auction……thank you from New Zealand
Hi Silas! I live in north of snowy Sweden and i will never be able to go to any of all this auctions you are, so thanks for showing all this - its fantastic!
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks 😎
"Not Going to Buy Much" Famous Last Words LOL !! Nice Buys
theres a pair of big job 750 and hood emblem buy it now 399.99
Gate was a good buy
Maybe you should buy some shelf racks for the semi trailer, there's probably an auction who selling them. 😉
Awesome video Silas
Excellent video- great job at the auction, that was an exciting auction too! New sub here!
I think that old toaster would be pretty cool in your junk Yard cabin when I first seen it. I thought of that. I say you probably spent around $600.
151 made some great ones at the auction ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Favourite item would be the Firestone for 70 $, propably the dubble in Sweden. And a rusty tin toy truck.
The white rings in leather are used on a team of horses, they are called spreader rings They go between 2 horses as you are driving them.
Good picking Silas
It's not what you spend it's what you get back.👍
Those tire signs can go for good money, years ago my friend closed his family owned tireshop that they had for many years & i ended up getting most the signs for free as he needed them removed from the building, they all was mine just for the taking....definitely sold them for good money except a few that i sold to a friend for his overseas collection, was definitely worth the time for me to remove them without damaging the building or the signs, i still kept alot of the inside signs & advertisement displays & trucks
👍 thanks 😊
Silas very good video.
Hard to find somebody to do what you want when you need to.
Silas, good things your kids aren’t old enough to realize their dad just spent Christmas money on junk! 😂
Great job on the auction auction.😂😂
That was one heck of a fishing rod.
I love auctions wish I was with you that a lot of Nice stuff
O my silas big market was doing something else I'm older & 2000 miles away ur getting hits I know the flakey cheers 🥂
Cast iron pizza or pancake plate.
I like that toaster and loved to have that brass Chevrolet emblem but u did get a lot of cool stuff
I think that iron piece with parallel hooks that had a broken supporting bar/strut is used for hanging horse tack.
The "Firestone" letters... the former Firestone store from the 30s here in Ft Worth is now the office and rec center for a pretty high-end apartment complex. Bet they'd like to have those letters.
Love these auctions that you take us to!
100k on the horizon!
I am an old Kansas boy, and I sure wish I lived around close to you cause I love everything you do. i have worked in the strip mines most of my life operating all types heavy equipment, welding and Mechanic work. I would love to help you some but Illinois is a bit too far.
I use those old wrenches in the bodyshop 😉
That broken piece with the fork teeth is a pitch fork rack
the thing that you dident know what it was in the bucket with the license plates is like a tool holder you screw it to the wall and you can hang thing like shovels pitchforks and the like one behind
the other
Wassup
Envious, as locally, since the pandemic, 98% of the auctions are online, with only a couple auctioneers sporadically doing the odd live sale. Really miss live sales. Looks like some neat and good stuff there, and some good deals. I think you meant bits, rather than bridles. Around here the bridle is the head gear the bit and reins attach to. Considering there was a fair bit of other repro stuff around those architectural stars, I'd bet they were modern ones. Good deal on the letters. They were used on wheeled trailer signs, and some others. You did well for the money spent.
you're right about the bits.
whew you spent alot of green on the wagner scillet plate!
All of it Peace out
I would have definitely bought all the Tackle boxes And that craftsman toolbox.
Silas got alot of good bargains on nice items...
Nice
I'm from hutchinson
those wrenches are for old school for use on torch bottles / hoses
Made it as far as the "crazy toaster" before I slipped into a coma
that small red toolbox as you called it. road reflector box. my 49 dodge had reflectors in side. when i sold truck they went to,only right.
The horse equipment is called a bit that goes in the mouth. A bridal is the leather that is fitted on the head to hold the bit in place. Just thought it would help to know what your selling.
that toy Deere pedal tractor looked pretty minty. red Firestone sign looks like it might have been on a rolling tire rack, my dad had one, different sign but same mounting method. Silas, did you bring that wagon to tote your buys today? :)
That cool red tool box fits under the hood on a, n series ford tractor.
Silas, when it comes to buying licenses plates, you need to get help😂
I sold 90% of these already
The S&H Green Stamps sign was cool. (You didn't buy it).
Another one of the consignment auctions
That red one has French writing on it. It might be from Quebec Canada. It probably was a delivery buggy for a butcher shop.
Most of those bits are snaffle ones. that leather piece with a metal hook at 44:43 was used back when corn was picked by hand. That would tear trough the husk so it was shucked before you picked it. My father showed me how to use one more than 50 years ago. He used one as a kid before there were corn pickers.
Called a shuckin peg
@@modoc852 We called a shuking hook or husking hook as in the corn huskers which was not just Nebraska.
Had a toolbox similar to that but bigger army toolbox.
the vintage tools are very cool do you see any herbrand tools out your way
I once workrd at the IHC factory in Canton Illinois
I would have tried to buy the Mockingbird Ln. street sign for the connection to the Munsters TV show
They gave out the Munsters address as 1313 Mockingbird Ln.
>>>> Those items you referred to as Bridles are actually called Bits !!!! Of various types !!!!
Planter plates
I’d love the toaster
I like the cast iron pizza comal
Famous last words, "I'm just going to look but won't buy anything".
You missed the best deal on the Firestone letters
save work for me on my trip ....LOL
Silas it looks like the same Amish people run all the auctions you go to.
I'm one of the ones that like shorter videos, viewed this at 2x playback speed. 🥺
Interesting stuff there....I think.
Stayin tuned. 🤠
Unfortunately the statistics say that most people don’t like the short ones. These long ones take an astronomical amount of work to edit
Silas I used to go to truck auctions my buddy was a major buyer I was in his office a few days after the auction his wife asked him how much he spent he said around 60 grand she said try again it was 150 grand it didn’t even faze him.
nice hubley tow.toy
