- The Frankfurt U-Bahn is now in Train Simulator 2015 brought to us by Just Trains. Quite an exciting and very detailed route where many stations are underground. I haven't played anything like this before on Train Sim. In this video we drive on Line U1 from Südbahnhof to Ginnheim to begin to get a feel for this route.

The reason why there's no "doors closing" signal is that, according to metrobits, there are sensors that detect if it's safe to close the doors and then they close, but if there's someone blocking the doors, the driver can activate an announcement asking whoever is blocking the doors to stand clear of the doors
18:49 Arbeiten auf der Strecke means work on the stretch (section between this station & the next). When the light is lit up it means there is work
This DLC really paves the way for London Underground routes to be released for train sim!
That's my everyday way to work, though I use line U2 which takes a another way after the station Heddernheim. The trainsystem is not a tram but a so called Stadtbahn which is used by many german cities, in the city centre it's using tunnels like an underground and comes up to the surface outside of the city centre.
I thought you'd never buy this! Super excited, this route has ticket machines and everything! Can't wait to watch this later!

Wow... I did not expect anything as good as this, but I have been waiting for a legit good underground or tram system on train sim, so this is fantastic!

The acceleration is realistic and it would definitely be prototypical to use full power on the acceleration to maintain time. It may seem like it is very fast as the speed displayed is km/h.

Press Shift+Q to move a station forward on the IBIS display, there is a bell-ish horn cant remember the button for it tho, also do more :D!
For once, lights that actually brighten tunnels and tunnels are the right darkness...wow this add-on looks amazing

bombardier bruges makes alot lf trams too but not for long anymore they are planning on closing it

superalbs it can do it in the font I use its just I was lazy and couldn't find the higher case version :P
Destination Unit is the same Siemens AVL unit used by TfL under their iBus brand, also in this, same controls as OMSI 2 with CTRL+Numpad

Bombardier is in England Derby,they made the class 378 and s stock for the tube!
I love playing the Frankfurt II U-Bahn. However, there are 3 things I would change about it - 1) more variety of people (there are only 5 types of people at platforms), 2) more variety of vehicles (buses are all the same colour!) and 3) better lighting in the underground.

You were close Querty. Bombardier Planes is Canadian however Bombardier Trains is German with subsidiaries in Britain and other areas such as Melbourne. Looks like an intresting route, hoping to get it soon. Cheers for giving me a rundown of what it looks like, Great video :)

Chris Kinsman Yeh, Bombardier has other subsidiaries world wide including some Chinese Partners as well. Interesting point you made there, I thought the Voyagers were built and operated in Britain, not quite sure about other countries, may have to do some further reading on it.

Bombardier is a Canadian company but has a train / tram factory in (i think) the Netherlands
the frankfurter ubahn is a very interesting combination between a metro and a tram. quite cool
Nikolas Maximilian U-Bahn can mean "Unabhängig-Bahn", meaning it is independent of the road, so it isn't necessarily an underground train (although they almost always have underground sections). This applies to Stuttgart, and probably Frankfurt too.

The pantograph thing is a general issue in Train Simulator, especially with the London to Favesham route how the class 395 pantograph and the HS1 tunnels are abnormally gigantic.
I have Train Simulator 2020 and I just downloaded this route from the store page and the train's not moving even after I set up the pantograph and stuff. It's not going anywhere
Hey Qwerty, you should make more videos on the Frankfurt U-Bahn especially because this stands out from all the DTG rubbish. Not only because it's Just Trains but because of how much better the developers for Just Trains are than DTG's.

Hi, how did you get the train moving again after hitting the emergency brake at 14:05? I am not able to move the train once the EB is triggered.

On mine the track didn’t appear is that u5 which is not on the game yet or not
Just to let you know, JustTrains didn't make the addon. alTerr (who is also known for his great OMSI2 addons) made the addon, and gave the rights to resell it to JustTrains. rail-sim.de/forum/index.php/Thread/13856-Frankfurter-U-Bahn/?pageNo=1 for the thread on the German rail-sim site, where you can see the development towards the project. Also, Bombardier are Canadian :)

How do you reset the emergency brake? I can't get the green light to illuminate after it has been activated.

on JTs site it says i need the Munich-Augsburg route for some displays to work properly. but is this really ture? do you have that also or dont you and does this route still work fine without it? because i want this route but im not going to get it if i need the other one which i would never run on.

DOOMILES maybe another year or 2 until its on steam is my bet

This is not a tram, it's the subway train in frankfurt
The trains themselves are one, two or three trams joined together to create a metro train like consis. It is a tram used as a subway I guess you can say.

It has a bell and you can control it with 'B' or in the cab it's on the bar under the control panel up front.

also the train does look a bit like a dlr train which is coincidentally built by bombardier
It's actually a tram, but they connect three of them to create a Metro like train. I think it's cheaper that way.

Qwerty Afro Windows 8.1 is better than 7 if you take the time to set it up properly I would never go back to 7

tomtoon2014 I was using dxtory for this but I might try OBS for this route next time when I do more
When I recorded on my laptop a couple of years ago, fraps was a decent program, I managed a free full licence that worked, and never dropped frames :)

But TFL needs to modernise underground lines except from Jubliee Jubliee is probably best underground line
also only thing that underground is unique is because they are first underground line ever made.
