Video no. 129, Mandpeshwar Caves, Borivalli.

Mandpeshwar caves are @ 3km fro the Borivali ststion on the western side. These were original Buddhist viharas and later taken over by the Hindus and created a Shiva temple.
Just above the caves is Our lady of Immaculate Conception church which was built in 1544 which is now in ruins after being destructed by tha Marathas after they took over mount Poinsur where the Mandepeshwar caves and the IC church is situated.
