Love ASICS as a brand and the products they make. Had the last two iterations of the gel resolutions (currently have the 9s) and LOVE them. Recommend trying them out if you want a shoe that offers a lot of stability and durability (but also feels lighter than what they actually weigh so it’s a little deceiving if you look at the specs on paper).
I've got four pairs of FF2's. I like them but I prefer my Lotto Mirage 100's. They feel more solid and have more cushion. But you definitely feel fast in the ff2's.
@@MPTennis I also heard they run a little small. I’m a true 9.5 and currently have them in a 9.5 and 10 and the length is great on the 9.5 but the toe box height is really low and puts pressure on my toes. Not sure if this will loosen up after break in or I go with a roomier and comfier fit of the 10 🥴
@@MPTennis got you, yeah as I was typing it kinda realized those shoes probably wouldn’t be where you would gravitate as they’re more bricks than the vapors 😂 hope you find some those vapor pro outsoles are missed
Sorry… could have gone into more detail. No heel slippage. Since this shoe was so light, I felt like lateral stability was a little weaker compared to some shoes. Therefore, I didn’t feel as locked down. Since it’s so light, it has a very unique feel and it’s something I’m not used to.
You gotta switch to those, man. They match the racquet haha
Hahaha great point
Dimitrov just switched over to using ASICS! It’s happening!
the blue yellow gradient one is so iconic. i wish they'd retro that one

Try out the new gel res 9!
Use the runners lock when lacing up, it will help with the slippage.
Yes I have been. 👍

glad to still have 1 new vapor pro for the upcoming season :)
Have you ever tried the Head Sprint Pro 3.5?
I have been trying so hard to hunt down some of the Vapor Pros as well 😢
have you tried the Lacoste AG-LT 23 ? i think that would be perfect replacement for you
Have you tried the Lacoste AG LT 23 Ultra? You may like them
I have yes… they were okay. Think I had a half size to small

Yet he switched back to FF2 at Indian Wells and Miami Open.
How would you compare this one to the Adidas cybersonic (both compared to Vapor Pro)? Thanks
How are they for worth? Also a former Vapor pro user looking for a new shoe
search the internet for someone who still has your size and shoe in stock that you use to use and like and order multiple pairs if possible
Does this slide more than a gel resolution or the Novak shoe?
I would guess yes…. However I have not tried the recent Novaks or res’s

"not a lock down feeling" ?? what do you mean by this? any heel slippage ?

You use any insoles?
I don’t right now but I’m looking into some of that stuff
@@MPTennis keep us posted. Check out sole Canadian brand too. The corkboards help and the performance ones are zero drop
They’re pretty narrow…
