  • I check out the black-rated lines of one of the best-kept trail gems in southern Singapore. A compact yet challenging mountain bike spot, Kent Ridge sits adjacent to Bukit Chandu, historic site of some of the heaviest fighting during the WWII invasion of Singapore.

    This is very useful to newbie riders like me. Getting to a trail head and wondering if the trail is a loop are important things to know and you can hardly find any concrete info on this. Keep up the good work!

    The last time I went Kent Ridge when they had their last DH race event here.....Reason, too far from North and got to drive there, I prefer to ride on my bike to the trails. Usually I'll start from Woodlands to T15 trail of towards Chestnut and BT. Rest a while and reverse back home.

    Been riding this trail two weeks ago. It was raining that time. Me and my buddy had fun, only this trail is super short.... the downhill trail is short but fun, the downhill trail does have some good drops, I don't suggest inexperienced riders go do that downhill trail.

    • @tomhawk733
      @tomhawk733 Před 4 lety

      I love Scorpion, but it's technically an illegal trail... it's also far easier to ride than either the DH or XC trails at Kent Ridge - definitely not what would be considered a "DH Trail" anywhere but Singapore, more of a flowing XC trail.

    Hello, I really liked your video. I would be moving to Singapore in a few months and I need to know the following. I practice MTB in Mexico and with a lot of experience in DH. I own my bike which is a Remedy 29 2017 double cushioning. I want to analyze if it is convenient for me to take my bike from here or sell it here and buy me one there. Could you help me by passing me tips on where to see prices and materials. Thank you

    • @RawEpics
      @RawEpics  Před 5 lety

      Hi Daniel! Thanks for the great question - I would 100% advise you bring your bike over here and use it! Buying a bike here in Singapore can add up to substantial $$$, but on the flip-side, there are lots of bike shops here which you can choose from to get s new bike. I like to recommend togoparts.com to view the comprehensive listing of local bike shops there... as well as the 2nd hand market place there, which could be another option for you.

    • @RawEpics
      @RawEpics  Před 6 lety +1

      seth lee hey, it’s best if you guys go with someone who has ridden the trail before (someone more experienced). They can tell you what key trail features to look out for and perhaps how to ride them, or alternative ways of riding the descent - there are a couple of bypasses or ‘B-lines’ to two of the drops on this line, for instance. Have fun!
