Ran sailing - Probably the best sailing channel in the world...
Thanks! 👍😀
Agree👍
praise from the Danes ? ooh :)
@@andyvandenberghe6364 Could be but it is not. I am a Swede, a West Gothian and we who live north of the Scanian border (They are from Scania) lovingly tease them as half Danes. Personally I think Carlsberg makes pretty good beer and their ads are, probably the best beer commercials in the world. :D
Absolutely amazing ⛵️⛵️
You're really up to date on your videos. That makes me feel more like I'm sailing with you instead of watching what you did several months ago.
Thanks for appreciate it! 🤗
You are so right, It is so important that the videos are so close to real time as posible, And they do it so well
@@nordicdust I don’t. Understand why this is important. I would like to see all youtubers date their videos so I can be more certain of the time of year being filmed.
👍👍👍
You guys make the highest quality videos of all the sailing channels 👏
Thanks for the kind feedback! 🙏🏼😊 Cheers!
hands down!
This very old man remembers when the Caribbean was all like Barbuda, before the charter boats and development. Broke my heart as I watched it change. Sail on- sail on and feel the joy of it all as I did.
They're paving Paradise and putting up even more than parking lots. How tragic.
Thank you for sharing your adventures and being inspirations.
Till the next Hurricane or the. sea level rise...
The golf course is the most damaging and offensive item...
Vera was being quite the little movie star 🌟 🌼🧚😂 wonderful to see her boldly clambering in and out the dingy like a little commando on a lets play and explore mission..
Dora the explorer stories might work well for her.😉
Thanks for watching 🤗
Vera an her Lil sunglasses an shark backpack an camera was beyond adorable... She's become such a big girl just in the last few months... This was another beautiful episode. Your camera work is amazing.. an just the telling of the story of your sailing family... I really do look forward to each week an each upload!! Thanks for sharing your lives with us!!! You have an amazing family CZcams channel. It is a joy to watch Vera grow up so quickly in front of the camera. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us.
Glad you enjoy it and thanks for watching 🤗
Really enjoy your beautiful videos! Barbuda looks so serene! I love watching Vera she’s the same age as my granddaughter Meryn 💜🇨🇦❌⭕️
Great to see you guys made it south…funny…this video seems to be the first I’ve watched of yours that is in color….beautiful family even without a tan!…momma is looking great!…dad smiles more often!…baby is big, and she is gorgeous…
I hope you stick around the warmer waters even though you’re far from home…
Oh…love the yacht!..she is really a fine one…hope she enjoys the climate!…cheers!
Always relaxing, laid back, and intelligent videos with a bit of cool music. Amazing they have 4.2K likes only a couple of days after posting the video. I can hardly believe how much Vera has grown since I first knew Mom was pregnant.
You are both very good communicators Great
Now that IS a great backyard!
Vera is so cute with her sunglasses!! from France
Another lovely sailing adventure with your lovely family. Stay groovy and stay safe.
It is a toss-up between RAN II and UMA, but in the end ......Veras smile will prevail! Cheers!
Mollin looks very happy & relax!!!!
Wow! Beautiful places. Beautiful production quality. Beautiful people.
So nice to see that Barbuda 🇦🇬 has recovered from Hurricane Irma. 🌀 And, tourists are visiting. 🌞
What a beautiful happy child.
Vera is having the time of her life. You can tell she just loves this voyage. Not to mention she gets all the attention from Mom and Dad.
This looks like heaven.
Johan, Malin,
A moment of bliss with the cherished firstborn asleep is priceless for any parents. They never stay so young. 😊
It was sad seeing Barbuda nearly leveled by Hurricane Irma. The rebuilding issues explained reflect what Cape Cod's natives (including islands Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket) have faced for many decades: The "retaining the local charm" vs. "bringing the tourism" economic dilemma Barbuda faces. The solution often sees the "big corporation" interests environmentally zoned to very specific locations already long developed, plus also limiting how and what they develop {e.g., adapt to preserve the ambience that attracts people, add vital infrastructure, limit traffic flow, respect local cultural norms in architecture}. Usually, that prevents large scale resorts, prohibits 'big box' warehouse stores, and prefers "Mom & Pop" business models. Environmental sensitivity to fresh water supply is a key tourism accommodation driver, too. No big corporations can just come in to bulldoze and build.
Blessings,
S/V Windwalker
This beach is absolutely stunning in it’s beauty. Vera is so blessed to have you both as her parents and she is getting such a wonderful education on the sea. Thanks for sharing another beautiful video ⛵️⛵️⛵️💕
Beautiful images of paradise on earth☺Enjoy it because here in Europe they released the demon that so much death and destruction is bringing...Vera is growing up fast and happy as it she should be with all the children.I hope that one day she will look at these videos and understand the privilege and luck that was her childhood. And that on that day she recognizes the fabulous parents you were to her, congratulations for the excellent work you are doing, as parents and as youtubers.
I was born in the turbulent latter years of WW2, waaay up in Scotland where my mother wisely took the family after London's Blitz became intolerable. The family tried many ways to make a go of life in England after Dad returned from 6 full years of war (from the BEF "phoney war" in France) to Burma in 1946, but by 1951 had decided to get away from Europe entirely and strike out Down Under, arriving in mid 1952.
By that time I was almost 8 years old and resisted the thought of becoming an _Aussie._ But after I returned from my 6 weeks self-drive European Honeymoon at age 26, I realised that I was one of the fortunate few who lived in the Paradise of "isolated" Scarborough Beach, Perth, Western Australia 🇦🇺 - where I learned to surf and sunbake. Now in my late 70's, I fully comprehend the wise decision my parents took to start afresh in the brave new world of the Southern Hemisphere to give their (now) extended family a fantastic start in life.
I think Vera will have a similar realisation when she reminisces about her early years travelling the globe by sea and sail, far from the carnage again enveloping the minds of Europeans, many of whom actually experienced those dark days.
Such a little Diva, gotta love it. She is ready to impress.....reminds me of the Nuggs on Delos.....
What a beautiful place, you make excellent quality videos that are a pleasure to watch. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! 😀
I was salivating at your recipe!
Vera is growing up so fast! How awesome it is for you two to have such a well documented life to remember these years of her early travels…
Cheers from Anacortes!
We think so too, and we it will be so nice for her as well to look back and see all the adventures 🥰
I spent a month and a half in Jolly Harbour... I loved it... thanks
Great video as always
Vera and Sierra are the coolest kids on the ocean!! Fun watching them grow.
Fair winds ⛵️
We enjoyed your video very much, the quality is the very best, thank you for sharing. Safe travels.
Lot's of love for you family have nice wind 🍃!!
Crazy family, with a child on such a small boat in the middle of storms.
Thank you!
I look forward to every Friday knowing I can forget the world and live vicariously through your adventures. I am very jealous of the life you live but it’s a good life. We all should be able to live the same way at least once in our lives 👍👏✌️
When you arrived Cascais, near where I live, I missed you because I had to fly to Holland that day (sent you a picture of Ran II seen from Adraga beach that morning). Now, I am at Martinique for some time and missed again your passage south (when I got here you were already south). Maybe some day I will be lucky enough to meet you personally. Love your channel.
Oh no, what a bummer! Yes we remember the photo and message you sent us. Next time when we’re in Portugal ☺️ Enjoy Martinique!
missed you guys for 3 weeks - been cruising myself to the Azores and Iceland on a 62k ton liner, hope you are all well XxX
Lovely video..! Gorgeous island. Cheers, fair winds and joy always be yours. 💕
Thanks!
It doesn’t get any better than that. Two parents exploring with their young daughter 😀.
Awesome place. You guys should have a million subs, you deserve it.
This brings back memories…Our first trip to the Caribbean was the usual Moorings BVI charter. While waiting by the pool for our boat, a couple from the Chesapeake came in, totally shitmixxed by a squall. Torn jib, trashed main, carnage…they said they hadn’t been able to sail at all because it was “too windy”. So we asked, while buying them a drink, “how windy?” Turns out it was pretty much a normal summer day on SF Bay, but with 88F air AND water. It was glorious. It was everything that we want global warming to bring to the bay…because I shit you not, 30kts and 50F water gets to be rather tiresome after a few decades.
Once sailing back to the Bay after a 10,000 mile two year trip we were asked how stormy it was out in the middle of the Pacific er al. The answer was always the highest wind and uncomfortable waves were off the Potato Patch just off San Francisco.
Wow, great video
Your big smiles tell the story 😀
Thank you for sharing.
Sail on
Cheers
Beautiful narration and photography.
Thank you!
You need Beach wheels for your dinghy. We have 30cm rubber wheels which means it's easy to walk the dinghy 100metres if the tide changes. Ours are from Beachmaster in NZ.
That’s one lucky kid 😊
Wonderful interesting photography beyond the incredible beaches and clear blue waters.. together you and Nature have us a real treat... as usual. How fine is the sand there? It looks like powder .
Vera is adorable and obviously a very smart little girl. What an amazing way to spend your childhood. Two thumbs up! 👍🏻 👍🏻
You guys are so enjoyable to watch. Please keep the great job
Your daughter is so cute, love you guys, 🧡🧡
Great show today. Thank you 4 sharing :-)
THANK YOU !!
loved the video!!!
Another nice movie, thanks a lot.
Love your videos, especially the diving ones with fish and coral.
Another great vid guys. Fair winds on south.
Nice relaxing overthere👍
Wow! So beautiful. Wish I was there.
Nice to see Vera going out👍
Awesome, beautiful video! Wonderful sailing family. Really enjoy your weekly videos. Thank you.
Seeing Vera just blossoming is amazing. So cute with her "going" to the movies! Another lovely video, thank you so much for taking us along!
Vira, You Rock!!!
Wow Sailor great episode ❤
That beach 😍
Ahoy !! RAN clan !! very nice weather you have and mouths full of grilled lobster, 🦞😛and great to see no need for immediate ship maintenance. Wishing you all the best and safe trip to your next destination🌤⛱ Thank you so much.
Vera is such a joy to watch
Title nails it! If anyone only ever watched one video about sailing the Caribbean, this should be it. Totally jealous of that lobster you found. 🤤👍️
At 2:55 it is interesting to see those bush branches that grow flat all across the sandy beach. I don't know if I have ever seen before.
Weekly treat
Thankyou 👍
Just a great, easy going, beautiful episode guys ‼️ Vera is growing so fast 🎉 Everyone looks happy and healthy. ✨🌊💨⛵️🏝👙🌞✨
Thanks Richard 🤗
Great to see all is going well. Sadly I have crossed over to the long distance Trawlers (a 50 footer) But did keep my 21 foot adventure sailboat. ION, The little one is getting big. It wasn’t that long ago in San Francisco when you announced her. How time flys.
Aye m8s! Like after viewing every one of your episodes since you first prepared at Dockan, this is like watching my own family 🙃
Time for the second child! ;)
I don't care what anyone else says. Vera is still the cutest CZcams baby ever! She is such a sweetheart. I had to laugh at her attitude when she was getting ready for movie night with her sunglasses on. Glad you are back in the tropics.
She was so sassy 😂🥰
She is really growing up, I particularly noticed it in this video. What a great experience for all three of you. Don’t blink or you will be awake and she will be asleep as a teenager…
Lovely combination of the locations, sailing, life onboard, family time, and more! I think Vera has been reading the teenagers guide to an evening out.
😂
Not sure how Captain Vera is not considered part of the crew. Another great episode and another destination added to my bucket list. Stay safe out there.
Oh my goodness look at that beautiful water, makes me want to dive in through the screen. That is such a shame as to what happened to the island. It's awesome that you have a great community. Ooh my mouth is watering at that lovely Lobster, it's quite expensive in the UK a 0.6 - 0.7 kg split, cooked and cleaned is £40 to £45 per person. Good sail. Great vlog, thanks.
I think you need to get Tee Shirts for Vera with the word CREW on them.🙂
Good idea 😂
Vera is the cutest little sailor girl. It’s so beautiful. It’s my dream to live there some day. Hopefully sooner than later.
It is very risky to build anything in Barbuda ..... it is in "hurricane alley" .... and it's elevation is just a few feet.
Imagine if you will. Take a two-year COVID break from this wonderful channel, come back and wonder why I left at all, only to discover a kid, with teeth and all. Cheers and Congratulations !!
We will keep our eyes peeled. Taking a Cruise your direction. St. Thomas, St. Martin...... 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁. Happy Sailing!!!! 😁😁😁😁
Very nice
Thanks! 👍😊
Garam Masala!!!, That's an Indian touch there
Before you run out of superlatives wait till you come to The Bahamas. It is incredible!
I don’t doubt that! 😊 Bahamas is on the bucket list for sure.
Vera is growing up quickly! Such a big girl!
Maybe you should consider signing on Vera as entertainment officer! Great video nuch enjoyed.
Vera has to EARN her passage? Outrageous. :)
How does anyone think building a golf course on Barbuda is a good idea? Is it a crazy-golf course? Anyway, love your channel and you must visit Ireland if you haven't already done so
VERY Cool and Vera is Just AMAZING!🥰🥰 Thanks for Sharing 🙏🙏
Ouch, guys - careful of that sun!
Lovely video, sad that the hurricane seems to have destroyed so much and let the developers in. Expect it will never really be the same now. Probably people will be better off financially but it will just be another tourist development with everything that entails.
❤
I want to see a video in fifteen years of Vera, Sierra from SV Delos, and Lennie and Darwin from La Vag all getting together on an adventure.
I recall very well watching the news about the hurricane stalling over Barbuda. It looked horrible. How many lives were lost.?
¿Dónde se puede comprar la mochila-delfín de Vera?. Gracias por compartir vuestras aventuras.
How do you like the in-mast furling? In your opinion would you rather have that or furling boom? Thank you
👍👍
Thanks for 298, Can you see your anchor ?
