  • Three tall-standing beautiful trees invite one’s gaze to a façade of interesting volumes sitting in the middle of a relaxing neighbourhood in South Bangalore. The interesting part of this home emerges from the duplex that sits over a rented apartment, resulting in a series of design features and elements that add personality to it. Spaces feel larger than they are in this contemporary structure that sits on a plot area of 2400 sq.ft., thanks to an intersection of volumes, natural light and greenery.
    #SpacestoStories is a series presented by Greenlam (@ / @greenlamindustries ) in collaboration with #Buildofy
The dining court, pooja, balconies and skylights bring ample light into the spaces. Levels and platforms string together different spaces as well as create interactive zones within the home itself. Adding to this is the warmth of wood that wonderfully compliments the home’s minimal colour and material palette.
To download the full PDF eBook of Transient Nest in Bengaluru with floor plans, materials used, construction techniques and so much more, please visit:
    www.buildofy.com/projects/tra...
The dining court, the central staircase, the cut-outs and the master bedroom are some key highlights of the project. Principal Architects walk us through the home, insightfully narrating the design decisions and material palette composing this beautiful and relaxing Bengaluru home.

Too many layers, steps, and stepping stones for my liking. There's a fear of someone or the other falling accidentally evry now and then; especially with old people and children.

Like the idea were they have implemented those small openings to let the light come in keeping the privacy in mind. Lot of red flags throughout the design which will have a huge maintenance cost in long run, but if the client is made aware before it was implemented, then you have done a fabulous job. I felt there are lot of things that can be hazardous in day to day life which should be avoided.

very good color scheme and combinations. I like the slightly minimalistic approach in house design, and the space doesn;t scream opulence and grandeur, rather its vibrant and graceful. I think a home space is a reflection of the owner's mindset and philosphy.

Everything you said is absolutely true , " Home is where every story begins, memories are made, home is a place where you always want to come back etc" however, the most important aspect of the house is none other than money. I subscribed this channel because of the beautiful designs, every architects' their own style , the way of thinking the entire plot's advantages, the way of joining the nature and house etc etc. Eventhough I'm not capable of making homes like the bildofy channel shows but I love and enjoy the designs, specially, each and every architects's potentiality, capabilities, natural bonds, ability to maintain owner's wish, combining traditional and modern design etc etc. As I said before, it finally ends with the amount.

Problem with such homes with too many architectural elements is cost of construction, maintenance and moreover accommodation of changing lifestyles needs tastes and trends. Better invest less into architectural elements and do more with removable artworks or furniture that can be changed upgraded recycled and even be treated as investment say like paintings with fraction of the cost.
