Thanks for this tour (and the earlier ship tour). The Vista was in NYC September 17 for a travel agent look/see. I was invited (why? not a travel agent) but had to cancel last minute due to illness. A friend went - and brought back a menu. Maine lobster with vegetable risotto was the entree on the "spa menu" (no extra charge) in the regular dining room.
My friend stayed overnight on deck 8 - same room layout but no "concierge" status.

In addition to the Aquamar Kitchen, there were indeed a few Spa menu items on the MDR menu. We show a very brief (about 11 seconds) lunch bit of the Aquamar Kitchen with two entrees in Ep 1 of our Vlog series (Oct 6 release).. it was excellent.
The Concierge level was good for cabin location and a few perks - and imho - is very much worth it for the Terrace access.

Completed the Panama Canal cruise from LA to Miami 3 weeks ago on Vista. Excellent description of the cabin. Bathroom is the best we have ever seen. Plenty of storage space in there. Overall room appears to be smaller than on Riviera but the crew insists it’s the same. Storage space in the bedroom area could be much better.
Hi Bob. Glad you enjoyed this room tour. We agree about the storage, but the Mrs (and me, frankly) were very pleased with the bathroom. That handy 'ring' light in the morror is a nice touch.

You’re very welcome. there were plenty of hangers, but we took all of our clothes out in order to film it, and not subject people to looking at all our particular sense of fashion 😂
The clothes had already been hung up when we made time to film.

A great tour as always Bob. That looks like a nice suite, a lot of the surface treatments remind me of Regent, which I guess isn’t surprising given it’s a sister line. Also Bulgari toiletries are a firm favourite on Silversea. Are they a concierge upgrade or standard? Those chairs on the balcony look comfy too.
Thanks, Pete! I think that the Bulgari toiletries were part of the concierge service. In all honesty, I can’t remember, but I think you are correct.

Hi Warren. You're welcome :) I will have to defer to you, Cheri and Gary for said comparison. I'd gather Oceania may... just may - come close enough in service, though not luxury, to make enough of a difference to routinely go on them.

warrenwolf4690 - the real difference is paying extra for things like excursions and alcohol on Oceania, which are included on Regent SS. Concierge on Oceania did give me 3 bags of laundry, which was adequate for my 3-week TA on Oceania.
@@cherifurr3935 when our luggage did not arrive in Copenhagen when we embarked. We got as much laundry we needed. Our luggage arrived 4 days later in Oslo
Thanks for the Vista tour! I have to wait until Sept. 2024 for my 20-day Athens to Lisbon on the Vista, and have booked the same suite. Had to wait until a lady I met on another Oceania cruise from Vancouver (right before COVID) could go, because we were both interested in those ports, but I already had 2023 booked up and wouldn’t go in summer. She picked me up and gave me a delightful tour of her city and lunch when I did my Regent Alaska cruise that ended with an overnight there.
What type of music do they play? Would you consider this cruise line too stuffy? Does it cater to what us baby boomers enjoy? Are there any cover bands playing music that we grew up with?

This comment would probably be best asked on our ship tour - a cabin tour doesn’t really lend itself to ship music discussion 😉
Also, when you post on the ship tour that we have on our channel, please volunteer what side of the baby boomers era that “you grew up in”- that could range from mid-career Bing Crosby to mid-career Elvis!

I understand that the concierge cabins are the same size as the regular cabins but why does everybody do videos on the concierge cabins and not the regular ones?
The concierge cabins are not the same as “regular cabins”, as this particular ship has French Balcony accommodations that are approximately 30 ft.² less.
Additionally, I can’t speak for “everybody” insofar as other people who produce videos, but I can tell you there’s never a sponsorship here, rendering completely unbiased reporting.
Everything you see on our channel is filmed out of our own pocket without exception.
More overhead storage is nice but it makes the room look and feel cramped. Somewhat of an optical illusion in staterooms this large but the eyes and brain come up with some unusual conclusions sometimes. Designers understand that. Hence, openness at eye-level is the rule. Many airliners do away with overhead bins on the centerline of business class cabins. More open signals more comfort. Reality? Who knows or cares?
Interesting take on design- certainly more experience with it than I 😉
