Please find as many dancers as possible and interview them. They are all icons and historical figures who need to get their flowers, especially learning that they were making history for a show that made millions but all they got was soda and chicken dinners for their contribution to the culture!

They would have just been some kids dancing in clubs if they were not given the chance to dance on national television. People would pay for such an opportunity. They were lucky to get chicken.
They should have been nominally monetarily compensated. A show like that could not be done today. As there all the money app. Or commercial sponsers could compensate selected favorite dancers (regulars)

@@KwamesLoweryVanity was on drugs back in the 80s. It caused health issues. She eventually became an Evangelist. She died of Kidney Failure on Feb. 15, 2016 at age 57.

I first started watching this show when I was only 13 years old. That's when I seemed to become available in my hometown of Milwaukee! I watched it like crazy. After I got a little farther up in high school. And started taking part in sports and other activities in school 🏫. Plus started working a part time job! I didn't have time to watch Soul Train 🚆! If I watched it at all while during that time in high school! After I graduated from high school. I watched it more. Especially after I moved out and got my own apartment. Then eventually it started coming on late night 🌃 on Saturday night 🌃, Sunday mornings 🌅! And other guys started hosting it. Such as Mystro Clark, Shemar Moore, and I think a few others! Doesn't come on nowhere that I know of! Unless it's on cable, or maybe CZcams. My grandma's sister first told me and my sister about Soul Train 🚆. When we visited my dad's hometown outside of St Louis. Before it started coming on in Milwaukee. She was 68 years old at the time. But loved it ❤️💜! RIP to Don Cornelius! If he was still living, it may still be coming on regular TV 📺. Can't help to think about the way he died! So sad 😥😢😪!

I remember when ST wasn't colorist back when it first started. But by the 1980s and 90s most of the dancers that were highlighted were either light skinned out not black.
