    I really appreciate that you are doing these kinds of videos where you review your months or weeks and set up for the next ones. It reminds me to do the same and not just collect data 😋 (like for example in a habit tracker). In terms of being sold on spreads - I think when you've been bullet journaling for as long as you have, you tend to realise pretty quickly if something works for you or if it needs (minor) tweaking 😁
    This has been the first year where I sincerely set goals for myself and so far I'm well on track 😄and I - at least partially 😋- credit your videos for that for making goal setting and keeping up approachable - so thank you 💜💜
    So thank you for your hard work and I hope you can enjoy your holiday to the fullest! 💜safe travels!

      Heck yeah for a non-traditional starting point 💪 I love when people lean into the start whenever mentality 😄💜

    Thank you for this video, it's nice to see the actual process in addition to the plan-and-decorate phase. It helps me find new ways to improve my journaling routine

    Thank you so much for this video Jess, its very useful to see how you do this. My method is similar but I don't have the goals or action pages-only the future log and calendar to sort out. I hope you have an amazing time in America, we're setting off to Scotland in the morning, so will have to catch up on your videos when we get back. :)

    Could you make a video about your bullet journal key. So like what a dot, cross or tick could mean ext. You could also combine this with habit tracker symbols like you said the clock represents no work after dinner and so on. You could title it, " bullet journaling symbols, how does one even." Lol 😂 I think this would be really helpfull .

    I renamed the 'braindump' into Notes and Scribbles, cause it's just a quick scribble you put into the page that becomes a note you're writing. I also named it that way to come across as not needing to be written neatly.
    I adore this video, listening to it while setting up my Weekly Reset atm for my afternoon and I'll be taking some notes on how I can improve my Monthly Resets in the future! 💜

    I feel like this level of migration is what puts some people off bullet journalling - though in this case it's not really migration, it's planning, using the previous month for context. But a lot of people feel like they are rewriting the same things constantly, that's a nope from me, this year I've gone for a separate journal for my dailies, because those are what I use most intensively, then I use a different pen in there to note things down that I want to transfer to longer term journals, this is things like a 101 task I acheived.
    I might be considered mad, but I've also stopped doing art or themes in my daily journal, the whole book has the same basic theme/style and it will last 4 months. I save the art for other journals that are more flexible in use and my need for them.

    Hi there, new to your channel and I really like your structure and aesthetic! I can really see how teaching influences your organizational style. It makes your videos very concise and easy to follow.
    Have you done any videos discussing how you differentiate between projects versus goals? It looks like you are pretty good at just keeping a list going for projects and project steps you're working on. I'm not so great at that, and have to break them down in the same way you do for your goals. Technically, my projects all come from goals, I guess, so I tend to end up with too much to do, which is overwhelming, and I stop using my planners. ADHD brain here, that doesn't help, and I know everyone thinks and works differently.. but I'd love to hear more about how and why you approach your projects, separate from goals.

    I love seeing this process! I was traveling in Jan/Feb and did not give myself time to set things up, and the bujo has suffered for it this month, haha. Since I also had covid for the first time, I've given up February as a loss and I'm just going to spend this weekend preparing for March.
    And as a heads up for tipping in America, a lot of food/drink places have started using screens with preset tipping options when you swipe a card, so you just have to be prepared (speaking from experience, choices can go from 10%-25% and I have tipped wrongly many times LOL). For sit down places, the standard is just 20% for service and I think servers just expect to see everyone at the table pull out the phone calculators!

    As a challenge, jess, you should try a hobonichi planner for a week! It would be a cool challenge to see how minimal you can make your planning.

    Now that the month is coming to its end, how was the experience with the tea-stained pages? I am one that can't stand some paper textures so I was curious if the notebook could withstand the staining process, and not leave too much "residue" on top.
    .
    My migration process consists on looking at what has worked for the month and how to improve that, and using the future log to see what's to come on the next month. Still working on how to implement my goals into the journal.

      @JashiiCorrin  Před rokem +1

      The paper did certainly have a different texture, but it wasn’t unpleasant 😄 just different. I think it was the colour that I eventually started to get tired with; I like higher contract between my writing and the page 💪

    Tipping: a dying practice sadly. Most younger folks don’t know about tipping hotel maids for example. Also most working people who are pro-worker especially former bar/restaurant workers just over tip everyone no matter what the service was like. We assume whatever went wrong was likely not the server’s fault. Unless the server was cruel or bigoted, most of us just over tip. It’s like a secret handshake, a sign of solidarity. Best tips are usually from bartenders, servers, etc.

    • @kristen5019
      @kristen5019 Před rokem

      By “everyone” I mean everyone who has a job that gets tips. Not literally everyone.
