If Luka does not play well then he is deserving of criticism. However, this isn't tennis. These are opportunities for the other players to shine. Thats the level of talent. the Mavs have. The team does not need for Luka to be getting triple doubles or even double doubles for them to win. He doesn't have to carry the team on his shoulders. Kyrie and Washington can fill the gap. Luka is needed over the course of an entire season. He can be down in the playoffs, more or less, the Mavs can still win. Kyrie is the key when Luke is down.

OKC played hard last night and wanted it just as much as Mavs. The reason okc shots are off is because okc playing defense and fatigue taking away their legs. You don’t play defense in regular season.
Shooting 3s in the regular season is not the same as in game 5 of a playoff series. Okc is trash. Mavs big eating. Luka and jyrie do what they want and if mavs dont TO the ball OKC cant even compete
There’s a reason they aren’t shooting well. Hint (the Dallas defense). They’re letting Shai dribble the hell out of the ball and make tough shots, and they’re living with the carousel around the three point line, and OKC gets nothing going to the basket. They have no paint presence other than Chet, and he’s being abused by Gafford and Lively. 3 point shooting teams rely on a playmaker to drive and kick for open shots, they’re getting none of it. OKC is using the same gameplan that Dalla does defensively. They pack the paint for the drive. The difference is PJ and DJJ are hitting their open threes, and when they miss, nobody on OKC can get a rebound. Dallas is simply to big and physical for them. OKC is in dire need of a better big rotation. This is what happens when you can’t rebound or hold down the lob.
