barcelona airport was the same way. running all over the place only to miss my fucking flight and not a single fucking piece of shit employee is able to help. some random fellow american teamed up with me because we were going through the same shit and we got home on the same god damn plane it was terrible but that dude was and always will be a legend in my eyes.

Some Americans coming to Europe expect special treatment because they are from America and thats apparently a reason to respect them, they treat Europe like a zoo and are out of their minds when their beautiful superior dollars don't get them whatever they want. You probably aren't like that but these people are the reason why many europeans, especially in places where there are many travellers like airports, will react negatively if they find out you are American.

While I didnt have a similar case in terms of close flights, when I was over at security at Istanbul for a transfer there was a very big line of people queueing up to get scanned and stuff. It was so long i recall it going all the way to the outside of the queue line itself. The staff there refused to open the neighbouring two stalls so we had two open for the entire population of India. The staff was also excruciatingly slow for some reason which would be fine if they opened the other stalls. But they didnt so it was a harrowing hour or so and we got lucky to go on the slightly faster one.
I may have not missed my flight, but some poor dude definitely did

Oh man, last year I went to japan but I took a korean air company and landed to Seoul 1st. I had 2hr for my transfer (another airport) and plane had 1hr late. But kr crew came to me and made me out of the plane 1st so I can catch my flight. One of few time I stressed out

BRO - 1;1 the same experience I had! We got to security 1.5 hours before takeoff and they were fucking rude, inefficient and downright stupid.
We BEGGED people to get ahead and even though we got in front of 50 people, we stood ONTOP of the security shit and just waited because they had 2 out of 6 machines running and almost no staff and they worked like snails and looked like they had smoked a kilo of weed.
