  • This was a fun build not sure if it works against bile spewer composition. I might have to fight those butt mortars with my own mortar.

    You can “parry” the hunters in mid air when they jump at you. Just melee before they hit you. You’ll parry and take no damage, also you can parry the headless brood commanders when they rush you, same just melee before they hit you 👌🏼💪🏼

    If you are blowing up the E A T pods so they show up on the map latter, you can save ammo just by picking them both up. The one you have equipped gets dropped, shows up on map. I do like shooting supply pods though so they are easier to find later. It's maddening when a teammate calls down resupplies to himself and you can't find them while out of stems and kiting half the map...

      Yeah, it's a habit I got from using the sickle most of the time. I dont think twice about wasting ammo on the pods. XD

    Very well played! Just opened my eyes to a more diverse loadout; might actually be able to make the railgun work in solos this way!

    I'm ok with the increased horde numbers, it's almost like-you're alone so all the bugs in the area will come for you.
    BUT… the patrols spawning literally at my feet, back to back to back, while fighting (not even a breech)... yeah that's been putting me on tilt lol

      they should add a function in the game like a map that lets you see if patrolls are nearby to avoid them. And itd also be cool if you can look at it while running kinda like strategems so you can constantly look if theres patrols behind you while your running from current breaches. Thatd be sick and good quality of life tbh. And if i can be extra wishful id like a booster that increases my overall radar to see even further if patrols are pulling up.

    Man that was a wild ride. I agree with the idea to increase the difficulty for solo Helldivers, but I do think they overcorrected. IIRC, a solo player previously faced 1/6th the enemies that a group of four would face and they adjusted it to 1/4th. I think 1/5th would've been the right move because this just so brutal and not really fun TBH. As an aside, the part at 4:33 was amazing and made me literally yell out loud. Awesome job!

      I also agree it was too easy before, and I enjoyed the change for a couple of games. Now it has become a slog where you have to leave and return to objectives to get anything done. Pod kills are always satisfying, I laugh at 11:14 when the sentry launches the BC off screen with like 3 shots. Thanks for watching.

    They should have just upped patrols for level 9, not for every difficulty level. The change has made even level 4 runs sweaty, and playing on a lower difficulty is just boring.

    This seems more about right. I was kinda tired of solo helldive videos where there was nearly no resistance for the player. 25% of the full teams enemies is fair.

      @@Garzor This is definitely post-patch, because the Spore Spewer took 2 EATs to destroy. Before the patch you could take them down as easily as the illegal broadcast towers.

      Nah, this is not more like it. He spent 15 minutes just on the main objective just because by the time he was done with one patrol, another showed up and called a bug breach, with more patrols showing up during it. And it's not because he's a bad player, or chose a bad loadout. He did great. It's because anyone who has played MMOs knows the power of cooldowns. When you are in a group of 4, 1 person's cooldowns can handle most of what the whole group is fighting at that moment, with the rest mopping up. This buys you time to complete the objective. Alone, you use your cooldowns to deal with what you are fighting with at the moment, and complete some of the objective. But when the next group shows up, you are now at a greatly reduced capability for the next 2 minutes. By the time your cooldowns come back, you are way behind. The way it was before felt play-tested. This does not.

      @asraarradon4115 helldive difficulty isn't meant to be a breeze, it's meant to be HELL. I've watched countless "solo helldive" videos where there was piss for resistance on the highest current difficulty.
      Even I've done solo where I'm thinking, why is this easier than with a team of 4? Doesn't quite feel right but whatever, call in the ship and leave.
      I'm not trying to convince you as having a different opinion is fine, but to me this makes more sense on 9 solo vs what it was.
