Very fitting and it also looks amazing in that livery. I am pleased to hear that the 707s have been given a reprieve on South West Rail until August

Here’s my question for the QnA. My question is: What is your favourite class of train in Britain and why?

My question fot your Q & A is- Do you know the thinking behind SWR transferring the 707s to SE? If they are good enough for SE why are they not good enough for SWR? Rebranding costs money and ultimately the rail travelling public plus goverment subsidies ends up paying for it.

The lease for SWR was expensive and the 701s are suitable to replace them + the rebranding had to happen for SE

@@CptnPhasma Thanks , I had heard about the cost but wonder why SE is prepared to pay the lease (plus cost of livery conversion) when cheaper deals like the one SW is getting are available?

Oh the irony. James campaigned for trains with better passenger comfort and facilities. So they put his name on a train which was missing the facilities he was campaigning for: The Class 707 has no on-board toilets!!
