“The world is always bleeding. And you never know what is going on under people's skin. I think it’s only when we reach out to each other, that we understand what compassion and beauty we are capable of as human beings. Even if we can’t understand what people are going through: we should still try. If we don’t, what is a life truly worth? Sometimes addressing the pain, your own, or the pain of the world hurts so much it feels like dying. But in truth, I believe it is then we are born. Your blood. My blood. Our blood." AURORA explains.
Hi Ella🤗 Great reaction! I’m obsessed with this song😍🩸 Aurora cares for human beings and Mother Earth ❤️ She definitely has been experimenting more, and I’m really excited for the album😍 Love her new style💞 She has changed for each album, I actually love that👍 Exist For Love is definitely a love song, it’s her first love song❤️ I think Aurora basically is interested and curious of any religion. I’ve pre-ordered the book, and I’m going to wrap it in for Christmas and write to myself from Santa lol My boyfriend will not understand a thing😂 Aurora said of the song in press releases: "I think they waited too long. For their life to begin. They healed themselves, and forgot life could be more than just healing. It could be about growing too. It's an indescribable thing, to see your favourite person change. And I guess this song is about the attempt of bringing them back. And sometimes it feels as difficult as trying to fight the wind blowing them away. They turn to dust. But I still believe it's doable. Just never give up." "The world is always bleeding. And you never know what is going on under people's skin. I have further developed my interpretation to include more of the important story-telling elements of the song: The song takes place inside the mind of a mortally wounded warrior. We hear an angelic voice beckoning the warrior to let go of life. At one point we hear the deep voice of the warrior defiantly declare: "But, I refuse to die...". These words are echoed by the angelic voice; perhaps mocking or sympathetic. The percussion is like a heartbeat, until the end - when it becomes arrhythmic (heart failure). Death takes our material selves to be returned to the earth. Dust to dust - that moves through nature to be reborn in other forms (of life). Burn like a star, while this matter is in the form of - you.
My interpretation: A mortally injured warrior, (gaping wounds "big holes" being stitched with "needles"), hears the angelic voice of Death. This angel of Death sings sweet words of truth and wishfulness, to coax the warrior to give up and let go of life. The listener is inside the warrior's mind. At one point, the warrior defiantly declares "But, I refuse to die". These words are echoed by Death's voice. The white noise is the state of delirium in the last moments of life. In the end, the Earth was not made for us. The matter that our blood is made of, is from the earth (to where we will return after death. We are dust.
This rhythm and production reminds me of Cure for me, the innocent etc., I like this but much interested in how AURORA will modify this to other versions, it also must be awesome.
