I dont even get the whole plot together correctly, just remember that it was weird, since 47 was meant to have no emotions, and then he has a romance with a girl (which as far as i remember he had to kill?)...
Noah Beier well no the chick in the movie had information on the Russian body double and 47 needed her alive. and I'm glad that they kept his complete cluelessness about romance intact.
In the Hitman series, 47 was a Silent Assassin. No one had ever seen him, people thought he was a ghost or a myth, that he didn't exist. He always got the job done, left no witnesses, even the target never knew what hit him. 47'd make it look like an accident and would leave no evidence. He'd rarely use his silverballers, just his bare hands, fiber wire, anesthetics etc.
In the movie trailer, what I see, he goes through security wearing a long coat wielding guns and ammunition, gets caught on purpose, kicks a table, breaks the handcuffs, kills/strangles everyone and leaves the room with a disguise on. The next thing you see that he's shooting with a pair of handguns in middle of an intersection, while the whole traffic watches. A jet propeller explodes, a car explodes, a helicopter explodes and other goes straight into a building. So much for stealth and anonymity.
tl;dr : Thanks Hollywood, you've ruined our favourite assassin.
for real, would have been cheaper to make the movie if they did it stealth like Agent 47 really is ........ next time hire a gamer hollywood

I really don't think people understand why games don't translate to movies. So dumb hearing stuff "it would be better if it would be more like the game". Good gameplay doesn't translate into a movie at all. The only games possible of adapting well are games that focus on story and characters with solid writing. Hitman is not that. There is no way for a hitman movie not to be stupid. If it was more like the games it would be even worse.

That is true. This one has potential but i dont think it will be as good as the first one. This one has that "rambo style action" if that makes any sense. Not that the last one didnt have action, but this one seems to have left some of the mysticism behind. This one has some lore of how the whole deal got started tho. Lets hope its worthy to the games!

Agent 47 is supposed to be about operating in discretion, like Sam Fisher. Seeing all these ridiculous, excessive (but cool) action sequences in the trailer has me with doubts.

Pierre Huguenard There's nothing wrong with action scenes, but they should not be the main focus on a Hitman based movie, i would enjoy it more if the assassination was very methodic through all the disguising and stealthy things 47 does, and rely on action when shit goes down (say, he's spotted or has to fight his way to the escape route AFTER the assassination)

CegeRoles When I found out that there was a second movie I was so excited. Then I watched the trailer and as soon as I saw the back of the Hitman's head I knew I was going to be disappointed. Why couldn't they use the same guy as last time? No offense to the guy they used, but viewing the trailer I think this movie sucks and I won't watch it. That hurts because I absolutely loved the first one. I can't get enough of it and watch it often. My son was disappointed too.

So... the only thing that this movie has in common with Hitman game is the name, because the real 47 had a status of urban legend, nobody could confirm his existence... and here they launch a full swat pursuit on him. Who fucked up that movie so bad?

Those are probably the most important aspect if you want a to make a hitman movie. I didn't like the first Hitman movie either. But at least they tried to find the atmosphere surrounding Hitman... A cheesy rock song together with explosions and 47 jumping around like Jason Bourne? I'm sorry but that's not Hitman.. Hitman's biggest famous song is called Ave maria for gods sake. Just the soundtrack pissses me off to this movie.

I wanna really talk shit for this movie but the comment section is full of logical people who actually played the games (thank god) so I wanna mention some really stupid parts
- Why the heck the policeman had a sniper rifle inside the room and why he asked the stupid question: What exactly are you? They supposed to be FBI or CIA or another secret agency and a trained team. Despite Agent 47 fooling them into capturing him, they must have safety measures and actually ask really important questions
They already know he is dangerous and an assassin. Asking what he is like he is a monster an alien e.t.c really downgrades the I.Q of the audience :P and the portrayal of secret agencies.

In the movie the interigator mentions some custom built stuff to the gun. He also mentions built in hair trigger.
Though u might want to know what it is. 1st stage when he kicks the table. 2nd stage when gun hits off the table. So my opinion movie well done :)
The hair trigger was a modification made to pistols, rifles and heavy weapons that used a trigger mechanism to fire. The hair trigger accessory made it easier to fire several shots in quick succession by reducing the amount of pressure that must be placed on the trigger. This works as a two-stage system. The initial depression of the trigger set the weapon to 'ready', while the second would fire it. The second stage would require little pressure to activate.

Max Sawyer The idea isn't simply choking people but using your environment to kill others without them even knowing it was you or that you were even in the area. The movie gives a Punisher type feel that he'll sneak around for the first 2 kills in each scene then go gun's blazing out in the open, which isn't why people play Hitman games.

R it was nothing like the videogames
I went into it expecting it to be terrible since I've heard multiple people say it's one of the worst movies they've ever seen. Now I realize they were just butthurt that it wasn't a faithful adaptation. I thought the action was mostly brilliant and the only acting that really bothered me was Quinto in maybe the first third of the movie. After he was outed as a villain I thought he was fine. Overall, it was a fun movie to watch.

Game 47:
I've played the games, and agent 47 is supposed to be the stealthiest assassin alive, an urban legend, uncatchable. He was *litterally* made for stealthy actions, killing people as silently as possible. And he always stays an urban legend. The only ones who know that he even exists are the ICA (International Contract Agency), the agency he works/worked for (can't really remember if he went back to the agency or not after the most recent game), his friend and former ICA handler Diana Burnwood and lastly, a former member of the agency, codenamed "Birdie". Anyone else who ever knew about him died, most of the time, if not always, by his hand.
Movie 47:
As taken from the trailer: Killing people he isn't supposed to kill, leaving witnesses (in the room he was interogated, either that or he killed them, not only leaving bodies lying around, but again, killing people he isn't supposed to kill), shooting what appear to be S.W.A.T. officers in the middle of the street, with high buildings likely full of witnesses and presumebly a lot of cameras hanging around, getting himself in fights (something non-stealthy) and leaves giant pieces of evidence in the form of destroyed vehicles, something 47 only seems to do when he can make such things look like an accident (except from that one time in absolution).
These two 47's are evidently two entirely different people, yet we are meant to believe they are the same guy.
TheGreenAssassin He even says his name AND admits that he is an assassin in the very first scene of this trailer! Did they not get that 47 is *not* supposed to be notorious? And seriously, the way he gets out of that interrogation room is really f**king stupid. I don't care if 47 is a super genetically engineered killer clone, he is not Neo from the Matrix and is supposed to be more subtle than this.
Btw, I thought Absolution's plot had problems like that. Like 47 getting caught in cutscenes for no good reason and letting his target escape... Because the plot demands it... I guess...?

I really loved the part when Agent 47 takes out his unsilenced Silverballers in the middle of the street and in broad daylight. So badass!
My favourite part was when 47 left no survivors to rat on his actions. We all know that true stealth means no witnesses.
I love that part where 47 and all his supreme superhuman senses couldn't hear a guy in a suit sprinting up behind him. After all, it shows character development.

Marc Gianatiempo I feel genuinely insulted as a long time Hitman fan. I've been waiting for a deep, dark, PG-18 thriller if this ever was made into a movie again. Like a mixture of Silence of the lambs and Bourne Identity. And we get this shit instead!! I'm a huge Hitman fan and wont even bother to watch this. I guess this is what Godzilla fans felt like when Roland Emmerich decided to make Godzilla back in 1998...

px4 Not sure if you played the games. You actually had the option (more fun option) to stealth the entire mission while only using one bullet. Or you can go in guns N' blazing, and wreck the place. Why did they give you other non suppressed firearms in the game?
