Interesting vid, good to see. Surprising how quickly it goes down. I just went through this with my 2007 S8, right front was the problem but took too long waiting for used replacement to arrive, by which time left had also failed. I'd support the front frame with blocks until you get a replacement, hopefully save the left one, and try to save your pump by not driving.
You should be able to hear air gushing out of the right side when you jack it up too. Good luck.

Hi, you sayd "You should be able to hear air gushing out of the right side when you jack it up too".... so its normal when i jack up the car to hear air getting out and why??
(i have a a6 3.0 2007 and two days ago i hit a little pit and the green car appear and than the yellow car and my right front was down... i test it with vcds and i have: 02646 - Plausibility of Level Control System 008 - Implausible Signal - MIL ON. i test the rear and it works charge/discharge but front it just lift ~10-12 cm not more.... in mmi all this time i have gray)

Hi there, I have a 2007 S8 with similar suspension problem fresh out of shop for another engine problem repair. However, mine does have a leaking some where in the whole air support line but not on the struct. I had new front structs 5000 miles ago but now my rear ones are high up in the sky. Did you eventually fix this by replacing the front leaking struct or any other suggestion regarding this problem? Thank you in advance!

Replace the pump its a closed system so when 1 thing goes.other components of the air ride system will read as if they are affected also.. forget diagnostic..just replace the
Compresser motor..$100 diy. Totaly can be fixed..keep it simple.. its just most common to have the air ride Compresser go first..
It made my shocks diagnostic test read they were broken. I purchased two OEM(ONLY OR THE SYSTEM WILL NEVER SYNC UP AND FUNCTION PROPERLY)Rebuilt air shocks from ebay..$575_$675..I can't recall but my buddy installed them and was still reading faulty..thousands of dollars weeks and weeks .just buy a Compresser..I bet you will understand the Audi air ride system after dealing w/getting it fixed, forums and youtube (mainly this guy is a guru^) .better than a good non-audi specific mechanic..

@@tjones5626 or it could be what was wrong with mine... front collapsed and the rear was sky high, all because the linkage for the leveling sensor on the front driver's side came off the lower attachment point. Reattached the sensor and it all works again.

cowboyfan dallas well, sorry to hear but not surprised. Both owners and mechanic had no logic or understanding of the problem and blindly replacing things, and in the process the bad part is still there and the good parts replaced with not so good parts hence the failure. One thing I don't understand is if you ask me for advice and took none seriously. Again, find someone who knows what they're doing and watch my videos again. There are only 3 important things in the system: pumps compressor, valve solenoid block and the bags, they're all in the video. Did you see me replacing the valve block or the compressor because I didn't see them leaking? Tell me, how can I help you?

I understand the feelings of spending money for someone to screw up your car, that's why I won't own old car if I can't fix it myself. I know you don't fix car, but I'm sure you know what how an air compressor work, there's pump and a reservoir to hold the air. Your car had leaks but no lights because your suspension is good, slow leak may cause by the leaks of reservoir (1 front and 1 back). I asked you to go to Audiworld.com where there are many Audi A8 enthusiasts working on their car and very helpful in your area. Go there and ask them to run VCDS for you or you should buy one or the mechanics you used should have one to check to see what the diagnostic errors are before doing anything else. Good luck

I went through this for 2 years. replaced Air struts but problem kept coming back. rebuilt pump but worked for a while and came back again. I ultimately replaced air struts with coil overs from strut masters. problem solved.

Two ways of fixing it doing what Will said or selling the car. After spending 4500 dollars for the suspension it didn't work I ended up selling My 2009 Audi A8L with 70k miles for 2500 dollars. Now I am trouble free and always avoid the option of Hydraulic suspension on my next cars

@@michaelyates5864 It did and it's unreliable. I am sure it was a hydraulic because they kept leaking and the car has a yellow suspension indicators on the dashboard indicating the car is low drive carefully. I am sure that coil springs don't leak but the break. Also another option is to convert it to conventional springs.
