- In this English vocabulary lesson, you will learn how to describe someone's physical appearance.
After watching this video, you will be able to answer these questions:
What does he or she look like?
Describe his or her appearance.
These are very common questions in English speaking tests and in everyday life.
You will learn how to estimate someone's age, how to describe someone's height, build, hair, complexion, eyes, facial hair, style of dress and distinguishing features.

Hi Andrew. I will try to drescribe the people on the pictures but i have to say first that describing people is one of the most challenging things for me, well no describing it's more or less the order to do it.
In the first picture we have a young average height lady in her twenties. She is average built and has light skin. She also has a lovely curly shoulder-length hair and dark brown eyes. besides, she has a tatto on her right shoulder.
I like very much the first young lady, she is a brunette with a shoulder-lenght curly brown hair in which she has put a red flower, she has made a beautiful tatoo on her right shoulder. I would say she is her twenties like the young black man dressed in a blue suit, he must go to his job. The forth number has a goatee like the number three who has also a goatee and more wears a beautiful black sunglassess, he is bald and very muscular with a olive skin because I think his lives in mediterranean country perhaps « Grèce ». The fith number is also of mediterranean type with a beautiful moustache and a grey hair, I give him fifty years old. Finally, there are two young girls left...two teenagers. Both are a long light brown hair but one has a plaits and the other a straw hat on her straight hair.
One smiles and the other is looking at us with a big blue eyes.

Sir as we know we don't use past perfect alone ,we use past perfect active and passive alone when there is context and also we use it with at least two events happened in past to show one event happened before another event or events .
But teacher can I use past simple + before to show event happened before with "context" and also with at least two or more event to show which event happened first .

Person number 2: She is a girl in her twenties. Her hair is blond and combed with two thick plaits. Her skin is light and her eyes seem green. She is smiling and looks happy.
Person number 6: She also is a girl really young, maybe a teenager. She has big blues eyes and long, straight and brown hair. She wears a straw hat adorned with a blue ribbon which calls again the colour of her eyes. Overall, she has a romantic air.
