Truly great!! Music leaves an infinite footprint out in the universe. Grab ahold of T-Square's footprint. Love this group! Thanks for posting Chanwoong Park!
@@Kaoov Both eras were Fantastic , Itoh was a more focused player, played to the song, while Honda on the other hand.... was a more of a "let loose" "choppy" player I love them both..
T-SQUARE and FRIENDS LIVE IN TOKYO』『FARWELL&WELCOME LIVE 1998』『FRIENDSHIP LIVE』+αで1万円近く。最後の『FRIENDSHIP LIVE』以外は単巻発売は無い模様。
Actually, that was the first Farewell and Welcome live (1991). The second Farewell and Welcome live (this one) is saying farewell to Honda and Izumi, while welcoming Miyazaki and Namba. 25+ member bands sure are a mess.
@@alexlush87 It's not so far from the truth. Simply put, Honda was too capable as a musician to the eyes of Andoh, who thus wanted Honda leave the band. Since he left, Honda has never played with Andoh while he has long been playing with many other ex-Square musicians.
@@yasukats well, that’s interesting info, but what is the source of that? No wonder about being intimidated by Honda)) But! I watched a concert “east meets west” with him and other musicians being Abe Laboriel, Dave Grusin, and more - Honda was humble at that gig.
@@alexlush87 Note this is just my assumption - Honda has learned to find his position in a band, i.e. he is not always supposed to stand out, as East Meets West was led by Minoru Mukaiya and held a bunch of top-tier musicians. As you see, Honda's potential is well expressed in this video.
0:53 Romantic city

Well, said!
34:52 My favorite song of the concert. 36:52 proves that nobody can replace Masato Honda
Noritake's expression at 40:53 says it all about the intensity of that performance.
Honda era is the Golden Era of T-Square!
The best T-Square era is from 83 to 90, Honda has more technique than Itoh, but the music was so much better...

Legend!!!

+Suzukisenpai Thank you :)
i think this was the last performance Masato Honda with T-Square hence "Farewell & Welcome"
+Husky Yumi Huang too bad, he's so dank
Actually it was welcoming Masato and saying farewell to Takeshi Itoh, the previous saxophonist who would later return to the band.

(That's also why Sutoh says "Honda Masato and Izumi Hirotaka" at the end of omens of love.)

i wonder why Honda never went to the reunion after the 20th Anniversary, does anyone know about this?
He had a big quarrel with Andoh over some music thing. Andoh told Honda that he did not own the band. Thats why Honda quit T-Square.
Husky Prince for real? Where’s that info from?
