Friend from the UK dated a Chinese girl almost a year. Then took her to London to meet the family. He bought her proper winter shoes and she cried hysterically coz she thought he was sending her hints that he wanted to break up. He had no idea. They talked it out. And they're still together now. Wah!Banana Hindus believe that it's inauspicious to cut hair and nails on Saturday because it angers planet Saturn (shani), which then brings bad luck. However, ask people who cut their hair and nails on Saturdays, and we bet they'll tell you their hair looked better and their nails neater, and no planet hovered above them with bad luck. Poor black cats. They are blamed just for being black (not a racist joke). It's a popular belief in the west too that, if a black cat crosses your path, it’s a bad omen. For the west, the origin of this superstition came from Egypt. Egyptian culture believed that black cats were evil creatures, whereas the Indian explanation is that black represents Shani and therefore brings bad luck. It is said that if a black cat crosses your path, then your day’s tasks get delayed or postponed. Which reminds me, when we were kids and went for our exams, and if a black cat crossed, never once was the exam delayed or postponed. Now say? No explanation for this one, because number 13 is just considered unlucky. Ancient Christianity declared the number thirteen unlucky and therefore till date apartments and hotels skip the thirteenth floor. According to numerology, the number eight is ruled by the planet Shani (again Shani!) and therefore if you’re ruled by the number eight then there shall be lots of obstructions, limitations and frustrations in your way. An onion and a knife is kept under a newborn child's bed to drive away bad dreams. It is also believed that placing an onion under your pillow while you sleep will bring you great insight when dreaming about who your future partner in life will be. 1.If a black cat crosses your path then it's a bad luck for you.
2.if you strike two sticks together then you must get ready for a quarrel.
3 If you rub your nails together then you might face a quarrel.
4.If accidentally oil spills from your hands then you might get some money.
5. If you sleep under a peepal tree on Saturday night then ghost will enter into your body.
6.If a dog barks or cries suddenly then something unusual is going to happen like they might have seen a ghost or like someone is going to die.
7.Do not see your image in a broken mirror it brings bad luck.
8. Do not sweep your home at night because if you do so then the goddess of wealth (LAKSHMI) will get angry upon you.
9.If you see a mongoose it will bring good luck for you.
10.Do not keep a watch at home which is not working properly because it will bring bad luck back into your life.
11.Do not touch your broom to anyone's body while sweeping as it will decrease their life span.
12.If you jump over anyone's body then it will decrease their life span.
13.If you see snakes fighting then it indicates that something bad will happen.
14. If you have long hair then do not keep them opened at night because it will attract ghosts.
15.Planting money plant in your yard will bring you wealth.
16.If you feel itchy at the center of your palm then you must get sure that you are going to get some money.
17.If you feel itchy at the center of your feet then you will go for a tour.

The point moon myth is actually true because when I was young probably 5 I pointed at the moon and the next day I felt pain on my ears and I realised that there was a cut on it

The superstition of pointing at the moon is true. I experienced this back in 2nd grade. It was so shocking that I never pointed at the moon and watched where my fingers are pointing. Believe it or not it can happen to some people only.
