It’s crazy to see how I’ve pivoted politically.
Towards my final years of high school (around 2014-2015) I hated everything political. Not in the sense I was immensely liberal, but Parliament really felt like a lot of disconnected people arguing over semantics.
Moving on in life towards my years at uni from 2017-2020 I really began to feel a pull towards Liberalism and in particular, I expressly remember the allure of Corbyn. Back then he felt like a shining star, and everyone around me echoed this sentiment. It was also around this time I really started to notice the vicious nature of the left, and even people around me who I once called friends were arguing over identity and race politics.
I had a few chance encounters within relationships and my ex partners friends. I considered myself left, and voted for Corbyn in the 2020 elections, but I wasn’t one of them because I didn’t agree with everything on their side. It all became very disturbing on how some people would flip on you if you didn’t roll with the next big movement of inclusion.
My massive turn was during the BLM riots, the fact that even though we were turning into an isolation nation during COVID, and all the fear mongering that came with that, we could go out into the streets and avoid everything we’d been told to do to argue with no one about race relations on the other side of the planet.
Then following the isolations, I was completely taken a back by all of the falsehoods we were forced to believe as facts suddenly become lies politicians had made up arbitrarily. The Vaccines we were sold as saviours were lies, the restrictions put into place by people with no scientific knowledge and the suppression of fact. I knew I was no longer in the Labour cult as it had become and I felt isolated.
Moving forward, I began to find myself. Turning to sources of information I didn’t particularly agree with, but was fascinated by the mindsets and thought processes of others. I remember feeling particularly captivated by Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan and Ben Shapiro. A particular turning point was when I decided to listen to the JRE with Jordan, and feeling particularly dirty and like I was doing something that was forbidden.
A Big Brother esc weight was placed on my shoulders that I hadn’t realised was there. Even an ex at the time scoffed at me when I mentioned it. I remember quizzing her on why it was so bad that I was listening to an unedited 3 hour discussion of a clinical psychologist’s views on the world. Her retort was “he’s transphobic and a racist”. I asked her why she thought that, and she was unable to answer.
Now moving on from 2023 to 2024 I find myself aligning with Nigel and REFORM because I can see the world and by extension Britain for what it has become and I want it to change. I want to be able to book a GP appointment without waiting weeks for a date, I want job security and I want my Mortgage to be affordable. I’ve worked pretty hard for where I am, and I want to protect myself and protect what I want to call MY Country. I want to be proud of my talent without it being judged from my skin colour or sexual preference. I want to be proud to be British.
Thank you Jordan and thank you Nigel. Xo

I’m with you all the way brother. That’s what put me off the left leaning youth the most, was how intolerant they were to any mildly opposing view, without at all being able to explain why. I remember being shouted at, losing instagram followers, losing friends, just because I didn’t go along with all of the inclusion movements as you call them. I wasn’t even sharing my political views, I just politely chose not to get involved, and was punished for it. I am hoping Farage will reach the minds of the youth and give some hope to people like you and me, I look forward to a time when I can share my opinions freely without being made an enemy. Good on you! Here is something I taught myself while in uni. It has to do with writing papers - taking a side, and following through on the argument. Often, I would take the opposing view and build a strong argument, but I would also look at the other side (most commonly chosen) and make note of that perspective. Often, this helped me build a stronger argument wiith greater depth, but once in a while it showed me thatp my stance was flawed and thus, change my position.
I believe that's the best way to come to a better understanding, but can also be incredibly difficult to convince ourselves that we may have been misguided.
At times, it requires a great deal of fortitude to turn our 'ideology' on its head and change course, but I believe that it's most often the best way to develop and move forward.
Once you know the direction or where it is you are going, then stay the course 😊
      Cheers from Canada 🍻

I am a Black LEGAL immigrant that have now been in UK for over 8 years. I am a senior NHS Doctor and I support Nigel Farage's position and I supported Brexit too. Thank you Jordan Peterson for your courage which has been great encouragement to people like me for over a decade.
I have wasted my votes on Tories for the past few elections and they as a bunch have failed miserably, lacking courage and conviction.
    1. I can't understand why someone would be demonized for asking that immigration is done legally. We all want safety!
    2. I came here legally as a masters student and researcher. I was already a doctor but also went to work for nhs after I got my UK license. I am now a british citizen. All done legally. Saying we should allow people illegally into UK is very naive and a big slap to the face of people like me that have fought and paid our dues.
    3. I have followed Mr Farage for almost 10 years since his MEP days in Brussels. He has maintained consistency and elegantly stated his position without bowing under pressure and dishonest mainstream media.
    4. I dont care that Mr Farage said he will do nothing for black people. Yes, he will do something for UK - everyone!
    5. I dont want to be handed down things. I'd feel insulted to be offered anything due to my race or gender.
If anyone is disabled or unwell, they need that sort of extra help.
I have been fortunate but have also worked very hard and scrimped and saved. I own property and yes, I dont want any unfair advantage.
    6. I have lived in a country (my birth country in Africa) where gov policy discriminated against me for being from an "educationally advanced group". To get into the best colleges and medical school, I had to perform twice as well as those from the "educationally disadvantaged group". It always felt so unfair.
Any country that adopts such a stance will soon be a country of intellectual dwarfs. I dont want to be part of such a mediocre society.
    7. The destruction of the family unit by introducing all sorts of nonsensical constructs that are not backed by real science like biology terrifies me. It is a sign of a society that is decaying. I fear that my children will be forced to learn nonsense in school by politically influenced teachers who focus on teaching nonsense agenda rather than useful knowledge.
    This is already too long

Just out of interest, why did you vote conservative in 2019....or 2017 or 2015 for that matter. Im an ex conservative party member (2003-2005) tore up my membership when Cameron was elected leader back in late 2005. Held my nose, gave him a chance & voted for him anyway in 2010 when I thought 'perhaps im reading him wrong, and perhaps this 'hug a hoodie, diversity is a strength' nonsense is just marketing to appease the media class, but knew within weeks he was indeed, as first appeared, no conservative.
I cant understand why any true conservative would have even contemplated supporting them after, say, July 2010 when it became clear they had no intention of 'reducing immigration to the tens of thousands' no intention of 'rebalancing the economy' and certainly no intention of 'culling the quangos'
All they did in their first term was solidify blairs dire legacy.

People wanted conservatives out completely, a good number took the leap to reform but many voted Labour not because they wanted them but because they didn’t know much about reform. Labour will fail the heartlands just as it had done for decades before 2019, reform have been shown to have a very strong base in those areas and come next GE the rest of the Labour vote will jump to reform. Also Nigel, do not take any more conservative defectors, they are nothing more than career politicians that care for nothing more than themselves. We want good people that live where they stand for, take the time to find and develop these people before the next GE and you’ll clear the board.

Sorry Nige, but we had race wars between blacks and Asians for decades in Britain. The media rarely mentioned it. So unless you were unfortunate to live in these areas like Birmingham you would never know about it. In Reading, Berkshire, there was a massive riot between blacks and Asians, with people ramming cars into people against brick walls. It never even made the local press. This was the same time that Essex was having the same issue. LBC radio had calls about gangs walking down the streets of Hackney smashing cars and houses, and the first thing the police would ask when you called is "what colour are they". And when you said what colour they were, the police would be too busy to come. Probably to avoid a huge riot.

Suffice it to say, I do have reasons, I can certainly explain, however, this platform is what it is.
Here’s the cliffnotes: If you want families to be championed, our education system to be free from harmful ideologies, safety for girls and women against those who seek to threaten and erase us, and a meritocracy where people are judged and rewarded based on their strength of character, work ethic and integrity, vote Reform UK.
If you want our sons to grow up proud to be men, and for our NHS to thrive, not just survive, and you want UK industry to be restored and passionately supported, vote Reform UK. If you want mass immigration to be addressed, not because we’re cruel, but because the strain on the ground here is real, vote Reform UK.

I am voting reform. The UK has absolutely no idea what strong leadership looks like and when it's staring us in the face most people avert their gaze and tell themselves it's "extreme." It's time we took pride in our country and ourselves - and no, that isn't racist. It has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with deleting this pathetic wishy-washy psychology from the collective consciousness and actually stand as a proud nation that celebrates talent and innovation. I spend a lot of time in America with what I do and being a relatively well spoken British person I get treated extremely well which I am very grateful for. The perception US citizens have seems to be that the UK is this refined high society that's worthy of respect. I do not comment on how far this is from the current reality. Through kindness, compassion, common sense and a celebration of talent and healthy competition we can turn this around. From where I am standing, Mr Farage is the only one with the resolve and understanding on how to do this.
