Pretty cool effects, but this is not what a parallax is at all.
The parallax effect is usually done by using different layers and moving them independently to increase the sensation of perspective. What you're showing here has nothing to do with this.

GLOBIK how do you go into a nested sequence to only edit one track? I cant get it and it would help me so much

You only have to double click the nested sequence on the timeline and it will open up another tab with all of the work done inside it. From there you can make edits and exit out the tab when finished
know your basics course is just what I needed. Taking it a day at a ti so I can fully grasp the core of soft.
Every was going until I had to feather the 2 files. My pc severely underpowered. Great video. I can't wait until I upgrade.

simple and straight to the point
When you nest a clip, you're baking in the scale of that clip in the nested sequence. So after you nested, you are doing a digital zoom in on the pixels and loosing resolution. You need to adjust the scale of the clips in the nested sequence, not to the nested clip. Its the same difference as "set to frame size" and "scale to frame size" Set to frame size scales it down, then bakes that sale and set the resolution to 100% (so if you go past 100% scale, you're loosing resolution) Scale to frame size just scales it down to fill the frame and retains the original resolution. Same thing with you nesting the clips

Hi there great work , thanks for the creativity , ,just an advise well up to u...u may work on one layer add effect and everything and after duplicate that layer flip it vertically and if u want to do it as mirror effect then u will have to flip it horizontally as well .. u can still cutting to achieve that complete parallax effect overall great work ...thanks for your time ...hope i was helpful .....cheers

This isn't parallax, this is just rotation and masking. Misnaming stuff will confuse noobs learning After Effects.

@@TrackMyPhones doesn’t matter, OP is correct.. this is not parallax effect at all.. this is just a mirror effect. Parallax is when you separate foreground from background to have a multi angle view point of your subject.

Yep, not a parallax effect, that would be to recreate the visual difference in speed between a foreground and background plane, early 3D video games used a technique called Parallax Scrolling to mimic this. This is nothing mor than rotating a duplicate video track and feathering the effects. What would have been cool is if you flipped the top layer on the X axis and masked out the second Sun so that you would have had one Sun with two reflections. Nice video though.

Tim Hout simply double click the nested sequence.
You nested a 1080 sequence so your nest is 1080. Could be mistaken tho.
