Cracks in time and space have formed throughout Ludibrium. Strange creatures have begun appearing from other dimensions. Papulatus, one of these creatures, has barricaded itself in the depths of Ludibrium's Clocktower Bottom Floor. It has been syphoning power from these dimensional cracks to grow stronger, wreaking havoc throughout Ludibrium. After obtaining the Piece of Cracked Dimension, six Maplestory Heroes summon Papulatus in a last ditch effort to save Ludibrium.

***** Ahh man I remember when people used to do the ludi pq and get the monster sack. They'd spawn the monsters in kerning city while us noobs were looking for a party to do the kerning pq. Good times man.
I always come back to this video every now and then and relive the old days. Both the music and the editing were superb back then, and it still holds up today, admittedly through rose-tinted glasses. I never got far in MS as a kid, but I always had lofty dreams of being like you and fighting Papulatus together with a party. As an adult, there's simply no time to get far in MMOs, but videos like these bring me back to a time when my biggest worry was whether I got to play Maple or Runescape on Sundays after doing my homework. Thanks Dray, for the memories :-).

Wow so much nostalgia. Deep inside the clocktower was so mystical and epic. I never made it to a high enough level that I could train down there, but I always dreamed about it.
Every few years I come back to your videos Dray. Only people who played during these golden years feel this type of way when reminiscing about MapleStory. I know everyone has nostalgia, but MS nostalgia is just something different and I can’t describe it. I truly am happy I got to play during this time and we had legends like you to idolize.
This video introduced ATB to me as a child, and I will never ever forget what came later to be as a result of that! Thank you for making this video truly, and for all the memories and people from Maple!

I remember starting in 2006 as an archer. Several years later, I adapted to the new game and the new play styles. I never fought any of the bosses with the newer characters because to me Zakum, Pap, and Pianus were sacred. They were the last links to the old maplestory that I enjoyed. Not to long ago, I decided to fight Papulatus for the first time. After defeating him by myself, I decided to quit, I'll never go back. It will never be the same.

I'm Korean and I had enjoyed this game when i was elementary school student. I miss this game a lot. Most of Korean loved this game. I hope Nexon reopen this game. Of course, even if they remake this game, I can't enjoy it as I enjoyed when I was young.

I remember playing on Maple Europe lvl 140 hermit.... yes hermit when there still wasn't 4th job(lvl 120) In top 40 grinding like 12 hours a day with double exp to get 1.5 levels wich was insanely fast at that level back then.... this video makes me miss the old maplestory where you could get massive respect by high lvl and job advances etc. really miss those times

Lito Dn A seperate server doesn't bring it back. It doesn't bring back the days as a kid, when you would come home from school and get online to talk to friends, the community, doing party quests (Yeah remember those?). No private server, no matter how amazing, and legit it is, can ever amount to the REAL days of maple. With the community, the game play, all of it. You can't get nostalgia back really, you can only revisit it. No one will stay on a private server for too long, they'll play it, get the nostalgia they wanted, and leave.. forever burying that part of their life once satisfied.
SubATOMIC Actually i've been playing a private server called ClassicMS for a couple of months now and am loving it, you get to know everyone and the community as a whole, i don't think i'll stop playing anytime soon
Yeah but, I don't think you were around back then.. the game was much simpler, there was a much better goal being that you couldn't hit 120 in a few days (I would know, I've done it plenty.) the community was better, and there wasn't 350 damage items with 25% stats floating aroudn the market.. the old maple will always have a place in all veterans hearts.

I never played MS tbh but I loved watching high level gameplay, I enjoyed it. I found this channel. Hard work went into it. I remember when this came out.
I moved, switched schools, made new friends and slowly moved on. I would think back on this video but couldn't figure out how to find it and over the years so many MS videos were made. I gave up. Now.. years later I found it. Randomly might I add.

I got back to playing maple story after i saw this video. Its so inspiring, even the music choice is amazing. I started in 2008, but i can kinda relate to how much has changed over two years. Some changes were for the worse, and some were for the best, but all i can say is you cant lose faith to a great game like this. Let live Maplestory, and preserve all the legends who have played it :-)!
I watched this video around the time it came out and now I look back at it and want to cry I miss this maple so much its ridiculous.....
Also back when priests only job was to heal, not try to attack like some kinda badass.
Man those were the days. you had to grind hard for levels to access content and the feeling when you finally did. Now Devs just hand them over to you so easily , it less satisfiying.
None of these characters made it to 200, but they are still legends.
Never forget the old and embrace the new, however hard it is.

maple was simpler back then. slow paced and focused on community... now it's completly different but there is much more to achieve and to do. What people forget is that instead of endless grinding to lvl200, you're now focusing on bossing and improving gear. the "goal" is not easier. it simply changed. eventhough getting to lvl250 is pretty hard and can be compared to getting to lvl150 on a non-mage job...
nevertheless old maple was pretty good but i doubt it would be much fun nowadays if nothing changed.
