71) Strike and Dip - What Can Be Measured

  • Besides measuring the attitude of rock layers, strike and dip can be used to measure any other planar feature like faults, joints, and foliation. We here introduce another measurement: dip and dip direction a.k.a. plunge and trend.

      And while i have you attention (i hope). Can you please explain what the therm "greenstone" means and how this is claimed to influence gold in "nearby" host rock? Some time in a future video i mean...

      Greenstones are usually mudstones that have been heated and pressured enough to form abundant green chlorite. However it is a general term than can refer to any green rock like jade, and there is a term "greenstone belts" which are ancient zones of metamorphosed basalts.
