I was at that gig and many more before it and they really were som8to behold live . The mighty TACKHEAD in the area . Even the bar staff and security were dancing .
Doug Wimbish is a bass monster!
Skip, Doug, Keith, Adrian and Bernard = hard to BEAT!
Finally, I got to see them! On a small screen. Love it. The best rhythm section NYC has ever created.
Thank you! I was at this show and missed the beginning. Imagine me seeing what I missed 28 years later!
Glad to be of service and I've just heard that the mighty Tackhead will be back in the same venue in November 2020 celebrating 40 Glorious Years of On-U Sound Records.
so cool! no band like this anymore.
I was there - thanks for the memories. Kings of the Beat

OMG! I was at this gig. My friend and I were nearly killed in a near miss on the motorway afterwards. Great gig. So privileged to have seen Tackhead!

Hard as fuck ! Incredible
Was there, heaviest gig ever, defunct @ Dingwalls a close second
Can't believe this has been posted, we were there en masse back in the day, what a gig, what a band, my favourite ❤️✌🏼👊🏽🙏🏽✌️ Tackhead in the Area!
Just found this myself! Saw them here in Edinburgh on the "Friendly as a hand grenade" tour, then later in Glasgow on the "Strange things" tour.
I think you're right. They played the old Mean Fiddler on a Sunday night that year too. Was on the balcony, hobnobbing with all the PIAB acts.
the mass bulbous punchbag
the things you find on youtube...the baddest funk rock band ever...
Agreed!

I have a bootleg cassette recording of this exact gig...with much better sound. Played it to death, so good.
Please post it. even better sync to the video and post that. U could solve world unhappiness. PLEASE! 🙏🏽🥺
- Yeah I was at this, remember it being a lot better than this captures.
Post it please , you would make a lot of people happy including me.
Sure they played the Town & Country a year or so before which was Tackhead at their peak. Particularly on those first two tours with Mark Stewart they were the best live act on the planet. This isn't the Georgie Best , is it? :(
I was at one of those gigs with Mark Stewart which was one of the best I ever saw.
Saw tackhead many times back in the day , before and after Bernard Fowler joined . But those gigs with Mark Stewart were some of the best . The old small mean fiddler gig was awesome . The whole place was dancing including the bar staff and doormen .
What venue
The former Town and Country Club. Now called The Forum.
