- As we were unable to get parts for our fridge that needed to be fixed we ended up spending more time than we anticipated in Katherine. So rather than sit around and sook we took advantage of the extra time and explored the area a bit more and got to experience a side of Katherine we didn't know exisited. Come and join us as we share our Katherine adventures and our Dometic fridge repair drama!

A great clip once again folks. How frustrating the fridge issue is, lucky most people carry a second fridge in the car otherwise it would be a very different story. Not sure I would be as patient as you Paul.
Thanks Sharon, yes it has been frustrating from several angles. Can’t get hold of Dometic and their agent in Katherine didn’t know how to fix it! It seems to be one of the challenges of life on the road.

Just watched the vlog on Katherine Gorge, and it was really enjoyable! Thanks for sharing your experience, it's great to see such a beautiful place showcased for others who might be interested in visiting. The video gives a good idea of what to expect and can be helpful for anyone planning to go there. Cheers for sharing the adventure! 😊Oh and the cave tour also looked pretty amazing as well. You poor things trying to get fridge fixed. What I did when I changed my fridge I bought a LG 224ltr 240 volt model. I had a three way switch fitted which allowed me to run the fridge of grid with a smaller 800 watt inverter all the time as it uses less power. When I go to a caravan park I just turn the switch to grid power. It only uses 4.8 amps average per hour when using small inverter. Why did I by a 240volt only fridge. $900 is a lot cheaper than a $4500 12/240 fridge. Cheers Ken

Seems to becoming too wide a problem today - happy to sell you the product, but try to hide out whenever the item sold to you begins playing up. And to add insult to injury, I bet that fridge is made in China too. Good luck with that fridge, hope it turns out well for you both.
