When I was stationed in West Germany back in 1985 - 86 the Scorpions where in the night club we regularly partied at and sang this song as one of their newest for their up and coming albums (yes, it was at the time where vinyl was king and c.d.'s was just making it popular), and after their set they made the rounds and we drank a few beers with Klaus & Rudy, they where really cool and friendly, later when I was back stateside they came to a bar in Denver called Bangles after their concert and both remembered me when I went to their table and asked for them to sign my T-shirt, they bought my buddies and I a couple of rounds and sat a our table talking about their tour. Klaus & Rudy are truly a class act and very nice to their followers!
I dont mean to be *that* guy but this song was already 3-4 years old by that time and they didnt release any studio albums between 84-88. Amazing memories though!
@@teiorahkwatehdiabo7086 Back in those days most of the European rock bands had hits in their home country's but they updated and redone those hits just to make them become major hits in the U.S. Scorpions, Whitesnake, Deep Purple are just a few rock groups that had hits in the mid to late 70's and just updated a few chords, riffs and maybe a longer bridge and rereleased the songs on a newer album just to make it big in the U.S. market. When I was in West Germany there was alot of great Rock bands that made it big in Europe but couldn't break into the U.S. market but if they just tweak some of their big European hits for the U.S. market then they just doubled their status. If you look through the older Scorpions albums you'll find alot of those songs are rereleased for the U.S. market. The Scorpions have been around since the early 1970's but they finally broke into the U.S. market in the early 1980's and when they did alot of people started to collect their older albums and seen that their songs had been released on earlier albums but had a slightly different tune or rhythm to them.
One of my first 4 songs of Scorpions. I was about 11 and laying in my bed at morning, when I heard "Wind Of Change" from the living room. I went here and asked my mom, what was it, 'cause I had known it from radio or something. She said that it was her fav band and played "Still Loving You", "Send Me An Angel" and this masterpiece. It was years ago and since this moment Scorpions are my favourite band. It's like family tradition, my sister loves them too
