All of them were scripted.
Well I say scripted, they were scribbled.
I say scribbled, what I mean is a court stenographer took them down during filming.

I'm assuming Mel wanted to change it from locking the door when the guy left to getting up and locking it after the big we are your honour from the other guy ..... hope they let him do it, far funnier and when Mel Brooks tells you where the gag is you should listen.
