this man has not said anything of substance in the last 20 years. but because people are animals, we dont understand jack shit, and therefore, think that evoking a feeling is the same thing as something to do with a god. in reality it is only about our evolutionary need to be in a group, therefore it feels good for the same reason that it feels good to make children, whilst being more intricate of a concept, leading to a blank needing to be filled. a god.

What you teach is basic Christianity that the churches seems to have forgotten. The churches are so often all about intellectual belief about God rather than direct knowing of God. What you say is all in Brother Lawrence and his Practice of the Presence of God. Thank you for your witness.

Honestly you are right. I think decades of meditation has warped his mind. He has no understanding of the scripture he thinks he’s quoting from, and spirituality is more than meditation.
The ASMR is strong in this one, but there is spiritual darkness for those who follow him.

@@unintentionalasmrjohnbutler The forbidden fruit was the knowledge of good and evil. With that comes discernment. We are required to judge between right and wrong. It's not a choice we can make. So yes judging is a requirement, but what the scriptures teaches is righteous judging.
One doesn't need to have a long list of credentials to understand that John has no understanding of the scriptures he paraphrases from. This isn't even a debate.

So miraculous! John's father taught him 2 things that John says aided him his whole life. He taught John to notice things. Yup, by cracky, he said, "When you swing your hammer, hit the nail straight. When you saw wood, listen to and watch the motion of the saw". Isn't that brilliant? John would never have thought of it on his own, his father must either have been a super genious or was this yet another grand miracle directly from god?
He talks about how god was always there for him. And when he wasnt, John would have to pretend his god was actually there, performing great miracles such as sawing! I mean, who actually knows how to use a hammer? Or a saw for that matter? His father knew how. And his loving and invisible god, who never gives us more than we can handle, or at least while we are alive anyway, always looked after John, keeping him out of harms way, protecting him from sadness, depression and even divorce didnt stoo there either. He may not always had a roof over his head but he would rent cars for free, never needing to pay money for them, so god provided a roof over his head. And when god DID give him too much, John could always bail out on his wife. He could just abandon his wife and his farm whenever things got tough. No children meant freedom so god was good to not give him any babies to be stuck with. Im sure god took care of Johns wife and farm. And see? Look at how great Johns life turned our. It can only be yet another miracle from Johns buddy, friend and pal, Sky Daddy we like to call him.

You don't have to be a dick about it, most of us are aware there is no god. But sometimes it's nicer to let folks be, and enjoy what they offer. It doesn't cost or hurt you to listen to John, unless you have youtube premium like my baller self. Don't give atheists a worse name, try not to seethe so much with sarcasm and high-horsery. Let a nice old man be, nobody is perfect. Nobody, that includes YOU. The non-existent God knows what you've done to hurt others😅

I have listened to John for a few years now, so peaceful and relaxing yet I feel conflicted in his thoughts about sacrificing innocent animals because he has to can eat?
No john you don't have to eat innocent animals and I'm surprised in your thinking that you deserve to survive and they don't
I'm 61 and have not touched meat since I was 21..I'm healthier than most people my age
