Wrestling Technique of the Week - Cowboy Tilt

- Reality Sports Director of Wrestling, Brian Peterson, shows a Cowboy tilt from the top position. He demonstrates two ways get to a wrist roll from a claw ride in folkstyle/collegiate, and then the proper mechanics for scoring points with the tilt. This tilt can also be used in freestyle if you find yourself with a wrist.

This is by far the sickest tilt ive seen. And by the looks it seems hard to get out of too. Way more effective than a normal tilt
This is the final technique my high school coach was teaching us before I left. Damn.

ok nice move but my thought on tilts is unless its a quick tilt situation where i catch my opponet off gaurd for back points id rather use my energy on top to pin if i can put his arm behind his back i can surely pin him thread the needle if i was in that position, just saying use your energy get tuff break him turn and pin.
@DustinPugh16 Yep! Gotta be careful with it! Always the danger with a hammer lock.

@mrmax7670 for me thats not always the case. i put like most the kids i wrestle away with a pin but sometimes if theyre fighters and are strong i can get an arm behind the back but not the pin so imma try to master tilts and see if it was worth it
he actually adresses that at 3:25. I don't see where he goes above 90. You can go below.

if kids do it the way hes showing it they are going to give up a point for an illegal move cause he brings that hammer lock above 90 several times
You can lay you left arm right along their's and hold it there just fine. Easy way to keep it from coming up.
