I found my first gold ring 2 weeks ago, I started detecting in march of 2023
The funny thing is, the gold ring was literally in the first place I thought to detect when I got my detector in march, a bench and picnic table by my friends house
But I decided not to dig there because I didnt want to kill the grass I hadn't learned to dig good plugs yet, so I forgot about the spot
Till November, I go there and pop a new ring
Could you imagine I dug there in march and a gold ring was the very first thing I ever popped😅
When I get a ring no matter what kind it always gets my momentum going again : )

Theres plenty of pennies here too, its bonkers since they havnt been in circulation for 11 years, old crusty rusty steel pennies
The loonies and toonies are usually in great shape though, they were made of bronze plated nickel and nickel and copper untill 2012

Yeah, the park is abandon but they do mow it every once in a while
Here in Canada we have $1 and $2 coins. Problem is it's a very jumpy signal cause it's made up of junk metal. Takes a lot of practice to get used to the coins here in Canada.

Hi mate just found your channel I’m in a town called Rakaia in the South Island of Newzealand I have had my XTP for about 6months and have only just managed to get some ML85 headphones they only got released in NZ this week not good customer service but all good now great videos 😊
You know was running an adapter on mine so I could run some low latency ones but I decided to put the Garrett wireless system which will work on any detector as you can also hear their pinpointer through their wireless headset as well!
Even if you have a great signal target and then look at the numbers if it doesn't lock into a good area of numbers and not the jumpy VDI like that it's doing now at 26:18 and I haven't finished the video yet to see what it is but just from what I have learned from the X-Terra Pro and it's going to be a Junk Target well not a Coin target anyway and I will finish the video and see what happens when you get it dug up.....
And it's a flattened top and not a good target and the X-Terra Pro Coins Tone is a totally higher level of Tone And it's not like the Simplex and it's 3 Tone's High Medium and Low Tone and you will still have to dig it up and see what it was and I'm sure loving the X-Terra Pro and I'm not Carrying out more Junk Target's with the X-Terra Pro than Coin's but the snow is on the ground and my season is over for now until spring...... and thanks Ken......❤.... @@ParkMetalDetecting I have been there many years ago Around San Bernardino and Colton and the "mules lip bar" if remember it right and Ontario and San Diego and I don't want to go back LoL, but I Did get to see the ocean 🌊 and I think it was on Newport Beach and the job that I had took me almost every every where I wanted to go and I could pick and choose where I was going to and I have had enough of it and traveling the world....
Newport beach is a good one to detect at. I plan on going to South Carlsbad camping for four days in March of next year! Have you been to many beaches to detect? Me just one time and I just got the detector so I was pretty bad at it :/@@carolrice2063

Would be nice to have pinpointer in ears, when I wear headphones with my legend I struggle to hear my mi4
Well you can just leave one ear 👂 without any headphones 🎧 on, I mean is that you don't have to be fully open to hear from the Pinpointer and what ever Side that you use the Pinpointer on will be the side that you will leave off but you will still hear the headphones once you're on the target and it's just slightly off my ears on my right side but the left side is Fully covered and that's how I work around the headphones problem...
I'm thinking of getting the Garrett wireless audio system for my detector as I already have their pinpointer.
@@ParkMetalDetecting ask ALOT of questions about that setup before you buy it and then have to return it and possibly by the time that you have spent on trying to save money 💲 and get something else that Might work out 🤔🤔 And it may Not ??? , And you should of just went ahead and bought the right equipment and been happier with that setup, but I'm waiting until I found enough money to get Minelab Headphones and the XP MI 4 Or 6 Pinpointer.... but do ALOT of checking out before you go ahead and buy it and it possibly be a waste of money and from what I remember about the zlink system 🤣it's only supposed to work on a Garrett Detector..... and Garrett is a propiatary kinda like with IBM was when they came out with there computer's....

@@ParkMetalDetecting Well I hope you feel good about it and I have been sold a thing Or two things that are supposed to work out but they don't and is there any kind of Video's of the setup to watch it working with a Detector besides Garrett Detector's and the Headphones 🎧 prices are not that much but I didn't check it out on Black Friday like that I should of been doing but I don't have a clue with the Setup you are going to do but as long as you have a chance to return it if it doesn't work out for you and get your money 💰 back then go ahead and try it....
I found about $110 this year, most dimes followed by pennies second, but I got a lot of loonies, not so many toonies, only $10 in toonies for 2023
How often do you get out a week?
@@ParkMetalDetecting maybe about 2-5 times a week, some weeks it a lot less than others, and maybe 1-3 hours an outing, next year I'm going to try and stay out longer per outing, I want to see if I can double my finds
Daylight savings time is killing me right now... Too dark by 5pm : /@@digginggopher
@@ParkMetalDetecting yeah I have done a lot of detecting in the dark, but its definitly way easier in the daylight, expecially when it comes to replacing plugs nicely, I need to get one of those miner hats with the light, I bet they make nice and bright ones these days
But sometimes if I could get up at 3am to leave by 4am I would, because I dont like small talk with everyone who walks by and has to tell me they dropped a diamond ring lol at 4 in the morning the town is deserted, there will be a single asshole who drives down main street at 70kmh cause theres no traffic but thats all I see
@gopherhole0288 that where headphones come in... reason I want to get a Garrett wireless set with box so I can tie in both my pinpointer and detector... just point to your headset and say sorry :)
