Legend - grew up seeing "known" tags around East London; the walls may fade, but never from my childhood. Respect.

Got so much love for Known (Unknown). Lived literally round the corner from each other and I'll never forget the time we were doing a show at The Skala and I jumped into the crowd while performing Survival Of The Hardest Working and he grabbed the mic off me and started rhyming. Such an amazing artist and one of those memories that will be with me till I breathe my last breath. Love and respect @ Known, always (Blade)

About bloody time. One of my all-time favourite writers. The first time I painted in London I saw some of Known's dubs that were in Graphotism.

Now this one is worth waiting for. I remember working in London Bridge in the late 90s and early 2000s. This guy had rooftops in the south like nobody else.

Respect to the legend. I used to get the train into London as a teen in the 90s I used to see his pieces in some improbably hard to reach places. Was always my favourite tag

Animal bins! Army & Navy! Thanks for bringing back the nostalgia. Travelling the Hayes line in the 80's / 90's I saw the South London graf scene evolve. KNOWN was major. Unavoidable. Different. I used to hear stories about him. So good to see this now, Big up Kels x

I was a kid in the 90s, I think it was 96ish I was taking a train to London with some school kids on some sort of field trip and started pointing out the graff to them that I'd started taking note of whenever I took a Network Southeast train pretty much anywhere in Kent, but especially into South London. Two tags stuck with me, and I remember vividly pointing them out to the other kids - Known and Dred. I was 9/10 years old at the time, but this stuff captivated me and I tuned into it like something out of the ordinary in all the static. (A bit poetic and I'd get into pirate radio and various other underground bits n pieces shortly after).
I just so happened to think of Known and get searching and bam, there's only a bloody Kela podcast with the man himself. There are names dropped in this podcast that take me back to being in single figures and early teens taking trains with my family, going to school, random journeys and the joy I'd get out of seeing a bit of graffiti. Names mentioned in this vid like Mass, Drum, Acne... I remember them all. I remember an Acne tag inside a train, I would have been probably 8 or 9 on a slamdoor with my mum around Aylesford or near Maidstone somewhere. As you get older, little memories like this mean a lot and its nuts that something like a tag can bring them back.
I'm now on the wrong side of my 30s but this stuff still interests me. There was a real magic to it back then if you ask me. If Known sees this, you put a curious smile on my face back in the 90s and added to many a journey. Who was Dred? I assume it was someone you ran with because I'd often see both your tags one after another. When I think of 'Known' I just remember that handstyle tag after tag along tracksides leading into London.
It's crazy hearing the voice behind this little bit of my childhood. Big up to you Known and Kela for getting this out there!

I remember him up on Mount Vernon Road. He had an exclamation mark as his throwup if I'm correct.
I am not even from LPL, I did not know the local scene during my short stay but I remember his style was on another level, some charisma in it.
