You're killing me, man. I know you don't like to do prior research, letting it go as you explore, but you looked into Robber's Roost. That big bolder in that drainage! You go around to the left to get over and into it. When you do go back, go just past Robber's 30', 40' through the bush to a cool keyhole lookout. Amazing view. Buddy and I did the trifecta hike: Peralta to Robber's, back to Lone Pine, then down Geronimo Cave trail to Bluff Springs, in the winter of course! That long yellow slab climb just before the caves, we were going down it, was my favorite. Thanks for taking us along. Really enjoy your videos.

🤣🤣I was looking right at it?! You think I would have learned my lesson to do more research after the whole 'having to go back to skull mesa to find the ruins' debacle! Thanks for the info-- I'll definitely be heading back at some point-- and thanks for watching!

In mining it’s called a prospect. The broken metal poles in the ground are miner’s drill bits.

That makes it even cooler! I found more holes/metal poles drilled through the sides of the keyhole, but ended up cutting that footage. Thanks for the info!

Someone over here by me in Louisiana has one of those century plants. I think I've seen it bloom twice in my 52 years...

Nice! Getting to see cactus flowers, to me, seems extra special because they're fairly rare, usually pretty short-lived, and it needs to be a right time/right place deal to get to see most of them!

The Bluff Springs route looks a much more interesting hike up to the saddle I’ve added that to my list when this heat breaks! I half heartedly tried to find Robbers Roost last time I was up at the saddle,no luck. But it looks like you were very close.

Apparently I was right at Robbers Roost and didn't see it! 😆 I think so far Cave trail is my favorite way to the saddle. I've done it twice and I've never seen another person on it. Now just gotta make it through summer and then maybe take another trip up for the Roost!

9:37 I did this hike twice, the first time I turn around at that boulder because I didn’t find a way around, second time I went up Peralta Canyon and came back down thinking it was gonna be easier, I went down the dry spring. I’ll try to go up same route as you next time.

I would definitely recommend this route, not just because you get to see all the sights, but because it's always empty-- I've never seen another person on the Cave trail! Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching!
