It's likely because Nintendo programmed keys in such a way that if you collect more than 8 keys, any more keys you collect will fly off screen. Usually this works, because you can only have 8 doors in one level. However, with the addition of warp boxes, there can be 16 doors/warp boxes in one level. So the rest of the keys remain invalid. Nintendo really needs to fix this
Glitch: In NSMBU, when you stand on a seesaw in the middle, and a fishbone falls on either one of the sides, your character’s idle animation resets every time a fishbone lands on the seesaw.

That said, I don't think using the doors/warps was needed, as the limit is in the amount of picked keys. Edit: confirming the issue is on the amount of keys, but if you don't go in the doors and warps, you end up having extra keys, so my bad on that.

not a glitch. fishbones have weight, and will move the platform for 1 frame. after that they are destroyed.
