I would say the part of the title 'black magicians', indicates a darker vibe, if it were to remove the 'black' it would by default be quite a conflicting title

Their first album is just too raw. For me, Violent by Design is like the Wu-Tang Forever of Jedi Mind Tricks - the pinnacle of the group. Their first album for me is like 36 chambers - very raw and street-level versus what they really wanted to accomplish with the appropriate means available to them.
