  • We took a hiking holiday staying in an AirBnB in Dinas Mawddwy, in the south of Snowdonia national park, Wales. During the trip we had a good few hikes in the area, which I am splitting up into a series of short videos.
On this hike we went to impressive looking Cader Idris (or Cadair Idris - it seems to be spelt both ways) - the Chair of Idris. We chose the pony path route, not too steep with a bit of scrambling at the top. The day was perfect weather wise, wind picked up as we got close to the top, but with a lovely day we could see for miles. Makes hiking up the mountains all the more rewarding when you get to enjoy the views!
This was Dotty's first walk up a mountain, and she seemed to love it. Hopefully she will be joining me for many more trips out.
Spotted some brilliant places to set up camp, and the legend says that if you spend a night alone on the slopes you either return a poet or a madman - I think that's a good reason to try it!

The smiles said it all Chris. It's elevation on multiple levels here. Fantastic conditions for capturing the day. Good going. Mark
