Am a Malaysian 🇲🇾, I have been to Prague 4 times over the past 15 yrs.
My Favourite European city.
The first time I was there, I was mesmerised by the ancient town, cobbled stone city, Harry Potter like spires all over the city and the bohemian crystals.
I have not had enough of Prague, i wish I could stay there longer. The train station has a Beautiful art deco interiors.
Would love to see a ballet if I go there next time, hopefully its not too commecialised.
Yeap, I'm Malaysian too and I have been there in early 2018 with friends and mid 2019 solo/alone and I have to admit it is the most charming and beautiful city in Europe, I can't wait for the pandemic to end and visit Prague for the 3rd time when the world is okay 😷

My guess is that they confused that with Rudolfinum
It was built on the site of a previous building where KIngs of Bohemia had ruled ... during the 15th century. At the time this building was built, the only Kings of Bohemia were the Emperors of Austria.

Actually there is plenty to do in Prague, the video really does not show much but the most famous sights. Plently of events, nightlife, culture, museums, concerts etc

I have been to Prague last month with my husband to celebrate my 30th and sorry to say but I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone. Servers are RUDE and DEMAND tips from you! This is very unusual and unheard of in other parts of Europe. People don't have to pay tips and even if they don't we expect pleasant service. We stayed at the centre and ALL the restaurants & cafes we visited were disappointing and overpriced. Don't go to Prague, its honestly nothing special and the centre is tiny and the rest of Prague is just nothing special at all. Taxi drivers are also rude and very expensive! OH and not to mention, all fast food restaurants will CHARGE you for ketchup and salt/pepper.....
Lmao when you only stay in the center you will never experience Prague, Czech food and will get ripped off. You were probably being annoying to the servers and Czech people dont take shit from anyone. And normal pubs and restaurants will not charge you extra for salt and pepper. You stayed in the centre where you will get overpriced shit because tourists like you dont go outside of the center so you are easy money. And i sincerely doubt they 'demanded' tips from you. Been living here my whole life -> never happened to me. BUT i have met enormous number of obnoxious tourists like you.
Prague is a beautiful city. But people are hugely rude and not friendly, very cold closed people. They are not helpful at all and cheat you with the price. Czech people constantly look angry and very poor service.

I dont think we are rude. We are reserved. Most ppl dont speak English so they can't help you most of the time. Most people that will steal money from you are scammers in the center of Prague on the main tourists attractions, its an issue but you can get amazing service outside of the city center. And why would we be friendly and smile all the time for people we never met and dont understand the language they are speaking?

@@spacecore85 Yeah the attitute is not as bad as it used to be in the era of communism. In that time you couldn't trust anybody with anything - even your family. We are still very reserved people who first kind of 'scope out' the person before befriending them.
Still a very much socialist country. People not very kind. The bridge and old part of city are interesting but nothing else. Do not u derstand what delights so many people. Waited 2 hours for check in into plane due to very slow procedures and slow working people.
Thats true, Prague is small, still so much socialist, people are not kind at all and often cheat, they mostly care for your money only, i am czech and i am sorry... maybe the future will be better :-( But not all of us are the same. Austria is much better choice - clean, civilized, cultural, also historic - Wien, Salzburg,... definitely better servis, people are pleasant and have higher altitude, etc.. ;-) The only good things in Prague re... history, sometimes the beer and pretty czech girls, nothing more. :-)
