- I don’t know why people trashed this man so hard for this album. He’s 2/2 on songs I’ve heard so far.

this album had some really good songs on it. People just trashed him for being like "vulnerable" i guess. It made me respect him even more!
nah people trashed him for the terrible production and songs like heat or remind me. almost no one has a problem with him being vulnerable
@@Leslie_AF ydmf
@@Leslie_AF No ppl are pathetic that's why nothing was wrong with this album
@@Leslie_AF I'm so tired of y'all hating on the production, there was nothing wrong with it
@@Leslie_AF Except for Offended and Untouchabl, I don't skip a single song on that album. Exclude Castle&Arose cuz they just unleash tears.
Finally a reaction that understands and respects the song......
Song is a sad but beautiful masterpiece
In my opinion one of his best albums. This is were he started really turning into the new Em. Different flows and twisting words like a mad man.
I have a lot of catching up to do
“I'm not God-sent
Nas, Rakim, Pac, Big, James Todd Smith, and I'm not Prince, so”
MAAAAAAAAAAN THIS LINE RIGHT HEEEEEEREEEEEEE!!!!!
This is one of his most underrated songs! ❤️
Almost every eminem song is underrated these days lmao
One of my all time favourite songs from Em!

Thank you Revival didn't suck, if an artist doesn't mature it's gross, by Eminem showing you his mature side and letting you know he still has Slim Shady and if you ask me that's a dangerous mix got to love it Mia
Sorry but it did actually sucked.... You listened to those hooks? Shit is ass
Sadly we probably won't get to see this side of him again for a while.
Yep. Fxxking haters. Even if YOU don't like it. Doesn't mean it's trash. Thays hiw you know the lazy listening pos haters. From people who really just dislike it. But yes fxxking haters are trash.
"Why are expectations so high? Is it the bar I set? My arms, I stretch, but I can’t reach"
Both "stretch" and "reach" are terms used to denote a "bar" that the writer didn't intend. By "I can't reach" he's saying that all his bars are there - because he set the bar so high in this rap game with his... bars. So he's saying that if you're listening to his lyrics and you don't know if it's a bar or a stretch, it's more probably a bar.
"'Cause I'm just a man, but as long as I got a mic, I'm godlike, so me and you are not alike, b**ch, I wrote Stan"
Just 3 words: "I wrote Stan"
On the surface level it's a little double entendre: 1. he wrote the song Stan, 2. he wrote a letter to Stan. The deeper meaning:
Stan represents a demanding fan that expects things (e.g. writing back) from an artist. In this whole song Eminem is asking himself if he can please his fans that demand good lyrics/songs/albums from him. In the song Stan, although it was too late, he indeed wrote Stan back at the end. So metaphorically he's saying that he delivered to his fans what they demanded from him. It's a perfect intro song for an album, because the whole song he questions himself and at the end of the song he says this, which basically translates to "Of course I made a good album, here it is". And then goes the rest of the album.
Or maybe I'm just reaching... :D
Wow this interpretation from the last line is great!
Amazing connection and I think it is👏 and look what he has deliver from Revival. Like he said is this time around that he decides if he is done or not.
Hahaha @ the last line......thats smart.....excellent comment, excellent point, well thought out......well said.....I agree with the whole statement, but had never thought of it that way.....
Em the ONLY rapper who HONESTLY reflects on his failures.
THIS is why he is THE WORLDS goat 🐐
Personally, my favorite Eminem album. I don't care what anyone says. If this song doesn't touch your heart..... I pray for you 🙏
"Damn Eminem fell off"....Thats all I heard when this album came out. Haters always gonna hate, and Em always gonna prove em wrong.
Wow, that scene with the type writers is very likely a metaphor for the whole '100 monkeys on type writers will eventually get you Shakespeare' statement about the organized chaos of the universe... Brilliant!
It's also probably a reference to people saying he's too old to still be in the rap game, because typewriters are ancient
@@apossiblyhereticalalphaleg3595 typewriters aren't ancient, da fuq.
@@thechamfam2328 Typewriters were made in 1873, which is ancient by mechanical technology
@@apossiblyhereticalalphaleg3595 the wheel was invented when..... seriously gtfoh
@@thechamfam2328 You clearly haven't been around the internet a lot, whilst your interpretation of the word ancient is correct, by internet standards the typewriter _is_ ancient
He predicted how ppl would receive the album and they obliged him. Ppl let their expectations cloud their vision. It’s pretty great to watch ppl go back now and judge it fairly. Revival is probably my favorite album. I’ll take grown man Em any day.
1000000%
I still get the chills every single time I hear that 2nd and 3rd verse!!! Even after years!!
The man is a Living LEGEND.
GENIUS.
I was here when he started I'll be here until the end.
I never gave a damn what they said about the G.O.A.T.
The man will be immortalized.
This one leaves me speechless almost every time... Such a good song.. And Beyoncé on the hook!?🔥 The melody. How vulnerable he is and speaks how he feels. Absolutely amazing..
Beyonce was amazing. I feel like there was also a lot of misogynistic men who hated that he had 5 different female artist in this album as well.
This song is a masterpiece the way Em bared his heart & soul onto this track was just so emotional and yet so revealing Beyoncé vocals are amazing too this song has a sad yet uplifting message towards the end and to answer your question this album got heavily criticized just cause Em chose to take a different creative direction from his previous albums which was unexpectedly great and yes it’s a masterpiece Em The Goat!👊🏽🐐🔥💯(Please React to Eminem “Heat” also my fav tracks on this album is In Your Head,Original Chloreseptic,Walk On Water,Castle,Arose, basically the whole album)
I think everyone though of this as an exit album.. then Kamikaze.. then MTBMB... hit his highest career levels yet.. unreal
Eminem ft Beyoncé is the Goat's 🐐🐐
On the rap game
Eminem ft Beyoncé killed it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like the song video 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like the video reaction
This album I replay the most. It has more replay potential than the other albums since because it's content heavy.
I highly recommend watching “I Need A Doctor” from Dre, Em, and Skyler Grey. Revival and Kamikaze were great albums. The “funny” parody-type songs were pretty popular back in the day, or the “angry” songs against his mom or ex. That’s what a lot of people know Em from, and probably like more. I liked those too, but the *real*, deep songs were my thing, not just the singles and radio songs
That one line " I lose my grip like the flying trapeze. In the dark I plummet". It reminds me of when a patient reaches for the trapeze bar in the hospital and when they lose their grip and there arm falls back down to the bed and fail to keep their grasp it's like falling into darkness.
People must have said this wasn't good because they don't like songs with actual feeling :( I haven't actually heard this song but think it's a amazing
Thank you for this reaction. A lot of reactors stray away from this song cause of some of Ems fans. The real ones new this album was 🔥💯Em is his poet bag
I think this song and album are both good. Screw everyone else!
I love this song. It's a rare look at the real Marshall Mathers. This and Headlights were so deep and emotional.
It literally breaks my heart that people didn't and still don't appreciate this album... or Marshall Mathers. It's incredible... He is INCREDIBLE! thank you for this, much luv, sweetheart ✌️🩶🫂
I agree. When I heard the album I was confused as to why people trashed it. It was very good
this has been one of my favorites from Em since it came out. ngl i need a tissue every time i listen to it. seeing this vulnerable side of him was just… 🤯
Everytime I hear it I think "It's not gonna get to me this time." lol
But without fail, as a lifelong Em fan, the line; "Now take your best rhyme, outdo it.. Now do it a thousand times!"
Always fuckin gets me.. Always lol
Walk on Water is a beautiful song.
Super good track, real powerful shit. Congrats on 100k my man, just watching your oldest vids and you were saying you didnt think you were gonna reach 10k and here we are hahahaha
I honestly never planned on having a real channel. It was supposed to be temporary but everyone wanted me to stick around. I’m grateful 🙏
I loved the album when it came out and I still love it today. It was raw, from Marshall and from his heart. Things don't change unless people are willing to change them. Em' took his step and the album is Fire.
People disliked the album after just seeing at the features list, that's the reason Em has started dropping off albums surprisingly now, he said this by himself
He poured his heart to us in this song and people hated on him for it. I had chills the first time hearing this song too. Thought that it was going to be the last.. I couldn't even bear to listen to the remaining songs out of fear..
I heard this and River and I stopped there...even though I enjoyed both songs... a few months later, I decided to listen to the album start to finish.. there was soo much to unwrap on that album!!! I still play it often these days cause I enjoy all the songs, all for their own different reasons. The album has a little of everything on it, which is pretty great.
People said some songs were "too political", but like.. since when had Em not brought up politics or America's Presidents? Lol. Did they miss those songs??? As a Canadian, none of what he says about your President matters too much to me, and I could guess that the millions of others outside if America don't give a crap either lol.
Great reaction! 🔥 It’s crazy that he put out everything he feels in such of honesty and people just shit on it.. One of his best album all time
Is this Slim Shady, NO
Is this a bad album, HELL NO!
Hate seeing him this way ❤ He is the G.O.A.T. period.
I hope as Cliff mentions, to still be hearing new bars from Eminem when he is 80
I just wish he could see himself through a stan's 👀👁️ i truly believe he's still that little boy that he felt wasn't good enough😢 he is in sure part of him knows that but he's so important to so many.
this song hit me hard man.... hard...
Who would have thought that as an artist you would apprecciate this song, it's almost like it's a great song, but people just didn't hear it.
He says he isn't godsend while giving props to other GOATS, showing a humble side to him, but at the end regaining that confidence that makes a good artist a great artist.
“eminem is the greatest writer of all time, in this generation” i mean that doesn’t make sense but i’ll still watch
I say a lot of dumb/ contradicting things. Just happens when you don’t script videos and don’t edit 😂. I let my mistakes be seen 🙏
very good video bro! much love & respect! let's spread the greatness of Revival together 🙏
The thing that sets eminem apart from others is he drops the ego at times and let's you into his life and vulnerabilities. Others are always unflappable gangsters with perfect lives. His isn't. You get to hear about his relationships falling. His losses. Makes his songs that bit more interesting an relatable.
the metaphor in the video is so good, the paper makes the floor white ice, dusty seats with the snow, cracking ice sounds is writting sfx.
This is his signal for a ringer to start. As a rite of passage for next dude. And it kinda a trap also. Because he let him being vulnerable and people start to going in to him. Than the ringer just come and sprayyy, so he can find someone whos worthy. He just guiding the new era. But the rules is album to album.
i just NOW saw the "infinite monkey theorem" in there... LOVE it...
Any creator understands these words. Beautiful.
Since Eminem knows no other trade than rap, he’s “outta mind” without his career. And as I grow outta sight, outta mind, I might go outta mine grow outta sight as in you don't SEE him on TV hes growing OLDER but outta mind i might go OUTTA OF MY OWN MIND (Eminem's) own mind.
This album is amazing.
This song always gives me chills 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fk the haters, EMs a legend
I believe the ice is a metaphor and the sounds of the pages ripping could be the ice braking because when the ice breaks you fall down into the water or in Eminem’s case fall off like everyone thought he did when he released this album.
Great reaction as always Cliff!!!
I LOVE this track - A different side of Em for sure, but I thought it was great! Really honest, open and humble.
He literally can’t win! Critics say Em doesn’t rap ‘about’ anything, so he does this type of thing and gets trashed for it!
I think some people thought the production on some of the tracks wasn’t brilliant, and the beats were a bit different - more low key, not as hard!
I’d love to see more Em reactions!
Also great to see Big L getting his flowers from you Cliff! He was another one that was built different - RIP, another gone way too soon!
One of my absolute favorites‼️ 💯❤️🔥🐐
This song is a poem, when I first heard it I didn’t like, it wasn’t a side of Em I grew up with, over time it’s become one of my favourite Em songs. The last verse into the chorus gets my throat tight, you can feel his pain and vulnerability in the song!!
People are sheep! Thats why. People follow the herd and listen to other people for an album review rather than trying it for themselves. This is a beautiful song!!! Just with Beyonce is on this it should jave been a radio hit. It's a shame they didn't respect this album and Eminem for the great work he did! Give this man his flowers before it6's too late!
The song is hard.
I feel u. Gives me goose bumps forever
Man, you have no idea I've just started to listen to Em recently (sorry that im late) and I was blown away by each songs of him from 90s to 10s. This week I have finally came to this masterpiece and its vulnerable lyrical brought me tears. I hope he will never bow down from stage, not until i meet him please
Another dope reaction 👊🏼hyped for the believe reaction one of my all time faves 🔥
Love all sides of him… so real
you know how many times ive listened to my shit in the car and was like nah that aint it!!!! To this day im always looking for "that verse"
The giant statue is what people's expectations are of him being god like and he's saying he isn't godlike as he can't walk on water like Jesus but if it's frozen he's saying he's just like us all , em pouring his heart out and at the end he said don't get it wrong as he wrote Stan which the world loved
Fuck me am I glad I came across your channel . . I love the eminem breakdowns dude 😍. . Keep the content coming . . Also, LETS GO BLUE JAYS lol
People who hate this or Em's other newer stuff, really haven't grown themselves. They can't accept his maturation as an artist.
They just want to hear the same stuff over and over.
IMO......Believe is a top 5 Em song for me.....its just bonkers......I mean super bar heavy...so many things to catch....cant wait to watch u do this reaction.......im here for it....SALUTE
Just did it today 🙏
I'll be looking for the post bro......TY for that... I appreciate it fully
Great breakdown of a really good album...I love this album actually cause he's doing what he does best letting you in...to me the crumpling of the paper signifies EM trying to write the perfect verse ✌🏽🤓
Getting chills right along with you. If Em was independent from the jump, we could only imagine what else he could have dropped. I Love Tom and Nova today just as much as I still love Em when I first listen back in 97-98
Great job boss. This one chokes me up frfr. But the next track...I think I suggested Believe way back when you reacted to Best Friend. Looking forward to it 🔥💯❤️
Eminem #1 all day ay day🎉
Gotta say man I’ve became a fan of your reactions. My last comment was ignorant and I apologize for that. You are a dope reactor just took time to realize it 🤝
oh yay! I didn't even realize you also had so many older reactions for Eminem. I'm an Eminem and Aurora fan. And MM and NIN haha. You should check out Chad VanGaalen and Joseph Arthur for amzing artistic music with deep lyrics (most of the time). They have some older songs that are amazing. I mean even check them out on your own (Chad- Willow Tree, Into the Molecule, Joseph- big city secrets, wasted, redemptions son.. Procupine is one of my favs but probably too "off beat" for people who like mainstream music which is completely understandable) Also rehab, they are kind of like rock/rap fusion reminds me of eminem, their songs are very self deprecating but almost in a good way (such as drinking problem and It don't matter from them)
I love this song xx it's defos underrated xx❤️xx
I'm watch till the end bro very good reaction u should react to eminem untouchable
I love this album. You should react to Bad Husband off this album if you haven't already. It's another great song that's totally underrated ❤
Scary to think how many songs he has rubbished after listening to it in the car that are better than 90 percent of shit out now
Another little nice detail of this album is that the first words are 'why are expectations so high' and the last ones in Arose are 'now i know'. Such an amazing Artist.
I heard the "page rip" as ice cracking.
This is a masterpiece... Ppl will always hate on something with this man.. Fans and critics was saying that all he did was yell at the mic and talked about too much vaguer shit. But when he got off the medicine and got sober.. He showed his "Vulnerable side" and ppl hated/clowned that he was too Political and emotional.. I think now he knows what he wants for himself and doesn't really give a shit about what haters say. He's been killin' it these past few years. TBH I think he's at his best. His sharpest. Love this song man..
I am 26 and I don't want to be alive when EM is gone . My first memories are from me as a child vibing to his album with my dad( He doesn't speak English at all ) but was pretending to like it so he can connect with me. That was one of the first times someone else's story made me appreciate what I have. I think he might be the most authentic human being on this planet and love him with all my hearth ( no homo) . It's crazy for me how there are so many people like me in Europe that never stopped appreciating him 20 years later , even the most far away villages in Bulgaria know who Eminem is , but there are so many Americans that shit on him . He is probably the most amazing thing that the U.S produced in its short history .
i imagine em has a bunch of albums and songs that will drop even after hes gone. I dont think hes the type of guy to let dieing getting in the way of being number 1
Good job man !
But if you're doing Believe next, brace yourself my guy 😉
Walk on water and Believe both tug on my heartstrings for Em.
It's a whole another side of him !
Can't wait to see your reaction. Subbed ! 😉
I like: I subscribe: I want more: Em. 😁
Lol Roxie!! You always like and subscribe 😊 ❤️! More Eminem is definitely coming
Dj Khaled new album just dropped its called God did an there's a ton of features including one with eminem an Kanye west
Eminem Mockingbird
You have to listen to Em with headphones to get the full effect of his songs. Always something/sound effects in the background.
Bad husband
Needed me
Please! Revival is a dope album 🐐
I need to know what was under that sheet....I really do. Gonna ask Em on Twitter 😂😂
You gotta do castle and arose... Both in one vid it is a crazy ride!!!!
Literally talks in this video about how he already has done it.
@@Adam-uu5pt lol my fault totally missed it but thank you. Im gonna go watch it now
This song is exactly why I like u the most....I know u industry write....something I wish I was doing once my own envision of me in that spot faded out.....I never wanted to leave...I just wanted to contribute....so I believe that you listen to this like I do.....and this song isn't about a career(unless it's his).....it isn't about a song or verse (unless it's his)....its about that feeling and hunger tug of war.....as hard as I can....(the ice cracking).....VS as hard as I will (falling thru/letting you;metaphorically down).....they hated this....Joe hated this...only tells me Joe has never felt like this....Pump It UP.....THE ICE WILL BREAK DICKHEAD....LIKE IT DID........props and respect.....from 1-2 another....Tyme...
💯💯💯🔥🔥🎼🎼
❤️
This is my favorite Marshall Mather's song...
Space bound is my second....
~6:24 As a writer, I'm pausing to say I know EXACTLY what that feels like, and you're about to relate to it too...
You gotta check Arrdee - Daily Duppy (both parts)
Another cool thing, even the video brings more meaning to the idea behind the song - the random typing on the typewriters in the video represents the idea of the infinite monkey theorem, (if you type enough random gibberish eventually you will almost surely type a real word) and that that’s how he writes . “The microphone is his.” Lol
I don’t understand how that album was horrible. It was great to me because he was being real and telling his story. He has always inspired me to keep going. Without Eminem I don’t know what I would have done.
You did warn about your interruptions….so respect…that said, as I do know this song…no way I can watch this reaction
Much love and all good luck to you
Please please please react to untouchable from Revival.
Skylar Grey played the piano and wrote the chorus btw
This was hella good 👌💯 how about trying Daveed diggs easy come easy go video banger song take it easy out there
If you're going to listen to more Eminem I recommend Chloraseptic Remix
Obviously a major stretch, but every time I hear the “pressure increases, like khakis” it brings me to wonder if it’s a Jim Harbaugh reference, with how high expectation are for Michigan football, even with a undefeated record going into a buckeye rivalry game, a loss to ohio state is looked at as a failed season.
Harbaugh beginning his coaching in 2015, he was brought in to put the program back on track. Harbaugh was known for wearing khakis.
Again a major stretch but my mind goes there every time
Are you familiar with Speedom? By World Wide Choppers? He even mentions it in this song lol if not go watch it NOW 🤣
This album was really personable. It did have a few bad songs but most were deep. To be honest I didn't like it at first but I just kinda skimmed though it tbh. Later when I actually listened it was fire
It took me awhile to catch up with it that he kind of shows his writing process on the video. He starts with writing just letters out and through the video they starts to form more and more words before he ends up having the lyrics of Stan in the end.
Personally I love this album. I think it is the one where he really shows up as an artist. But I think that is also what seems to turn a lot of people off with this. It is not about the beats, though his beat selections seems to confuse a lot of people who are just into the rap music. I usually find them interesting. But also from what I have read people started to trash this album before it even came out without hearing anything from it so there is that too. Haters gonna hate. You can not do anything about that.
